People who actually buy PCP airguns and stick with them are already the hands on DIY modification type people. It is a requirement that comes with the hobby. No matter where it is made and by whom every single PCP air gun is going to need hands on work. The QM-23 is accurate, well made, and works. It is also not a "knockoff" since it has too many design changes to be a clone of anything. You can see Artemis P15 and P35 DNA in it, and it likely is made in the same factory, but the amount of parts new and different from a P15/35 is probably at least equal to the amount of same already existing parts from them.
I have not taken it apart yet. I watched the tear down video and saw where the regulator is. To get to it pretty much requires a full disassembly and I don't want to get into that yet, especially with it shooting fine. There are 2 large screw heads on the back of the receiver, one of which I am sure has the hammer spring behind it. Whether or not it is adjustable there I do not know yet either. Hopefully it is.
In a nutshell, it's a great air rifle, even if the rotary mags require an odd method of being loaded.
