I recently bought a Crosman 150 second variant and had it resealed.I did some trigger work and have it down to just around 2lb pull and very smooth. I added the new fiber optic rear sight with the 2 red .060 diameter fiber optic dots on the rear blade. So now I need a front sight with perhaps a green dot Does anyone have this setup ? What front blade will fit this gun with the fiberoptic dot. I want mine as a handy field pistol for possible small game at close range. So no scopes.

Can you measure the barrel diameter? This might help with any suggestions.

How about the Discovery front sight, they're excellent quality sights, available from crosman (they were

), around $12 iirc. They come with a screw if needed. You could file or sand the bottom to match your barrel. They're nice sights, I have them on a few guns. Here's one on one of my CO2 cartridge moderators.

Th barrel is .563" diamter but the bottom facing the lower compression tube is cut out along its length to sit flush to the lower round shaped tube. at th front its flush t the cap so you cant add any moderator. But that Discovery sight looks interesting. Ill have to take a look at that one.

I looked on the crosman website. Couldnt find that front sight anywhere. I went ahead and ordered a new sight front sight for the 150 and will file and drill it to get a green fiber optic rod in there. This way I have both a black steel one and a fiber optic one to see if theres any advantage. On the originla front sight its not only pretty short but I dont like the tapered look either as it gets fatter down the sides.

I looked that up. That wont fit the 150. The sleeve slips over the barrel for the newer crosman models. Mie needs the base to screw onto the barrel.

You don't need the base, I screw them to the can. Gets the right height for the Crosman rear sights. My 150 shoots high, you can screw it to the barrel and maybe fix that. Here it is on mine. The counter bore for the screw needs to be opened up and the sight needs trimming. I'm going to fit it to mine

Well, here's where I have to be an adult and admit I was wrong. Dang it.
I shot my 150 with the disco front sight. At 25yds it's still about 3 inches too high with the rear sight bottomed out. That's too bad, it gives a great sight picture, but my gun shoots really high. I guess I'm still stuck making one. "dang".

IS that invoice from Crosman??? Can you give me a link to that part. I cant seem to find it and it looks promising. I just ruined my extra original front sight that I just bought. I filed the mid section out and the front tip getting it ready for the 1/16" drill bit at each end . But I tapped a nail point to make a mark for the drill bit too hard and it broke off the base! IS this sight all plastic? HIVIZ also makes an all steel fibre optic for the Smith Wesson J framed model 63 that looks perfect as far as height and width. But it has to be pinned into a base.

Sorry, I can't link it. I don't know if you've ordered parts from crosman before, you have to go to OWNERS MANUALS at the bottom of crosmans website. Click on the red Owner's Manuals box and find your model. Look at the PARTS DIAGRAM and write down the part number you want. Then call customer support and tell them you want to order parts.
Yes, that's a crosman invoice, call with that sight number. That sight is made of aluminum, I believe they may have been made by Williams.
Keep in mind that it wasn't tall enough for my gun, you may have to mod the rear sight, too.

WOW, it looks pretty good on your 150. A slight front trim and easy enlargement of the counter bored hole is no problem. Tell you the truth the sight looks pretty high in the picture. hard to believe your gun is still shooting too high!! So if i look up the sight part its for the Benjamin Discovery rifle --correct?

OK, I found it. Tell me what is the height of that sight from the barrel to the top of the blade. because the original Crosman 150 is like 3/8" total height from the barrel .

I measured my original sight, it's. 310" tall, the Disco sight is .338" tall. Not much difference, that explains why mine is still shooting high

.338" that sounds perfect!!!! Im getting that Truglo rimfire pistol fiber optic front sight in any day now to try out. IF that doesnt work Ill try the Benjamin discovery front sight that you say Crosman still has in parts. Are you sure your barrel is seated on level ? Something sounds out of whack on your 150. Does it group if you bench rest the shots?? Could it be a crown problem of a stray high shot?

To be honest, I haven't shot it much, mostly because of the issue. It's mint and was a gift, so I'm hesitant to mod it. I have other guns that shoot fine, so I shoot them.

Oh boy Im having my fun. So I bought the Truglo rimfire pistol fibre optic front sight off ebay. It bolts right on to the Crosman 150 but the sight blade is too high. So the gun shot low. I like keeping my rear sight as far down as it can go so this wouldnt work out. Then I had an idea. I hacksawed off the just the blade right near the base where it joins the base. That gave me plenty of meat for whatever height I need to grind it down. In this grind I filed out the front and back portion leaving the middle to form a tab that could be pinned. Man I was working with finger tips and jewelers file sizes. But it worked. I also made the pocket in the original sight base from the broken sight. I got it to just slightly higher than the original .310 height and gorilla glued it into the pocket. The sight blade slightly covers over the screw hole so the screw has to be in because it now wont come all the way out. But thats ok. I can still turn it with the screwdriver and unscrew and remove the sight off the barrel if I dont like it. Thinking about yours, are you using the orignla rear sight with that small notch blade that slides up and down? With that my orignla sight and that rear blade is half way up wo where the top of the blade is even with the rest of the outer wongs of the rear sight. But that slide ing windage is terrible as you calmp down and get a twist .Same with the rear sight blade. Tighten the little blade and it twists. Thats why i ended up going back to my MICRO adjustable steel rear sight.

Nice work! You're going to have a nice pistol, there. As I said, mine was a gift so I won't be modding it. I have a couple 2240s. The red one is going to stay as it is except for modding to up the shot count without wasting CO2. The black one will probably become a carbine, my son is tossing the idea around. I have another on the way, I don't know if I'm going to make a shorty(like a 150) out of it or put a 25 upper on it. Maybe I'll swap back and forth, these pistols are a riot to play with.

NiCe pair of pistoleros ! I took a few shots indoors at 5 yards and with the rear sight all the way down it hits dead center of the bull with a 6 oclock hold. So say 1/2" high from the sight point to the impact. At 15 yards though its hitting about an inch high. And this sight is just a touch higher than the original. So that benjmain Disco front sight you mentioned might be the perfect ticket for my 150. Im going to try ordering it from Crosman.
