I see a basic kit at Alliance Hobby for $60 for a .177 conversion. My barrel is so bad, it's hard to imagine even a non LW barrel being any worse. The probe looks silver instead of brass, which might take away from the aesthetic. But hey, it'd be usable. Can't have it all on a budget. Maybe I'll email to see if there's a brass one. Looks like discount is a thing with them. If us GTA folks get a discount, will someone PM it to me?
The barrel gets very tight in the middle, which I know from cleaning it. I assume this is the main issue. I'll double check the crown, but I remember it not being too bad and no major burrs.
You can also check With Dave at Alchemy Airwerks. He list a lot more on his ebay store than his home page. If a probe for a 1377 / 1740 would work he has them in brass.https://www.ebay.com/itm/291258541485
