Are these the same scope?

The scope above - is it the same as the one below?

The second one at PyramydAir and other Air rifle specific sites has the "Tru Strength"  label on it while the first does not "say" it.

Specs are very close, but not identical.

Cost is different.

Are they the same scope & OK for air rifles?

 Look to be the same per descriptions, and I did a legit check on combathunting, they seem to check out OK too. I have found optics cheaper than PA many times.

Wirhout the Leapers part number you can't be certain. They do have similar scopes with minor differences. They are all good, though. I have several.

The upper says 390mm long which is 15.3543 inches.

Yes, PA’s is obviously a compact version.

Had one like it but with a glass-etched U-MOA hash-type reticle.

I do not know if the Leapers scope is airgun rated but they do have a lifetime guarantee - if you save your receipt for proof of purchase.  Watch out, some of their scopes have an etched reticle but they have similar less expensive models which do not.  I learned that when I saved a few bucks on a Leapers scope.  Generally scopes with a 30mm tube are considered sturdier than those with the one inch tube.

Any practical reason the overall length will make a difference in use?

Use will be on the AA S510 FAC SuperLight in /177 so "air gun rated" probably doesn't make much difference.

My main concern was/is getting the scope that will work best for me with this rifle. Mainly pesting, not targets.

Have been concerned about using it much due to how beautiful it is. Nervous about nicks & dings. Realize that is silly now - I'll use it and when it shows a bit of wear, live with it.

The compact one isn't really that short, so I was able to mount mine on a Walther Rotek with no issues concerning eye relief.
