USPS Delivery Exception

Hello
I just received my 4th USPS Delivery Exception notification
All 4 were worded exactly alike, except for the time of day and tracking number
They were sent via email and refer to packages I am tracking

"Your package has a delivery exception.
Your shipment has potentially been delayed due to weather conditions at 8:21 am on January 29, 2025."

Each of the 4 packages is coming from different areas of the country (ME, NC, MI, VA)
And as far as I can tell there is no bad weather in those area, my area, and along the routes.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

According to our local postmaster the USPS doesn't send emails concerning any type of delivery delays.
I consider them scam attempts.

Phishing scam!! DO NOT ANSWER!! Report it as such to your e-mail host. Block and delete!!

I get some when I track shipping.
The old "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"
Don't mean jack now days.

These notices are not a scam or spam
They are something I signed up for with USPS to keep tabs on package process
I do it as soon as I have the tracking number
They have saved my butt once or twice when the notice said "delivered" and it had not been
To the point
My question was about delay notification due to bad weather, because I wondered if it was a commonly used excuse.

I have a login with USPS.com. It picks up tracking numbers when labels are created with my address on them. I usually get notifications before the sender supplies me with the tracking number.

Them knowing where I live don't seem to be the problem. Them finding it is.   
Heck, Boss is nearly blind now and still finds her way back in the house.

I had a similar (but not quite the same) experience with FedEx a few weeks back-however that was during the winter blitz the Midwest was having...
Same deal-multiple packages coming from different areas, except they'd be moving until they'd get to the regional distribution center and then  just stop...
Once ALL the packages showed up, then they got delivered the next day-it's almost like the driver knew there were other packages coming, and didn't want to come down our driveway more than once?...

I ordered some things from REI in early January. They were shipping separately via USPS from stores in Anaheim and in AZ (can't remember which city). I got estimates for both to be delivered on the following Monday, a few days later. Then quickly got msg that the Anaheim order would be delayed due to weather conditions, which coincided with the start of the LA area fires and jammed roads from evcuations.

It turned out that I got the AZ order on Saturday two days early, and the Anaheim order still arrived on Monday.

Had a shipment that was supposed to be here Monday.  Looked up the tracking.
"Latest Update
Your shipment has potentially been delayed due to weather conditions at 6:32 pm on January 28, 2025."

Monday we had a little snow.  Been pretty nice for mid Michigan since.  USPS is getting to be a joke.

It's a barrel heading to Florida.

The package going to ND seems to be normal and tracks normally. Both mailed at the same time.
Go figure.

USPS tracking has gotten to be a joke lately.  ANY delay, whether in an area affected by weather or not, will be blamed on said weather.    Is it too much to ask for some honesty and transparency?

"Package status: Delayed
Arrival Date: Unknown
Your package was last scanned as [Arrived] [Kansas City] [5] days ago.   [WE DON'T KNOW WHY it does not appear to have moved on to] the next regional sorting facility.  Our metrics show [Kansas City] is one of the [10] [slowest] sorting centers we manage, so it is quite likely [ENTIRELY OUR FAULT.]  We will let you know when it gets scanned [somewhere, but EVEN WE DON'T KNOW WHEN OR WHERE THAT WILL BE.]  Thank you for [tolerating our logistical incompetence.]"

Montgomery is the last hub before being transferred to our local PO for delivery. Tracking said at 5:03 this morning 4 packages departed for our local PO. Only 2 packages were delivered. I called the PO and was told the packages were probably on different pallets and there may not have been room on the truck to load the final pallet. I was assured the remaining packages would be delivered tomorrow.
I guess someone don't know how many pallets fit in a trailer.
