Heat treating 410 SS

Anyone here able to heat treat some 410 SS parts ?
I have a could of Crosman 1322 trigger sears that are way too soft, but don't have the means to do it at home, or know of any knife makers around.. was reading how much temp it takes and know I'd need some equipment or help.
I've done small carbon steel parts before.

That's what I was told by Magnum Airpower..
I've got a bit of 1095 on the way and will trace out and make a copy of the sear, I should be able to get a surface hard with MAPP I hope.
The sear now is just way too soft, for now I've switched over to a cleaned up factory sear and it's  holding up just fine.

410 just not have enough carbon in it ?

I use propane for 10xx steel, MAPP works also.  I stack a few fire bricks in a box shape to get the camber hot so I can "soak" the parts at quench temp for about 10 minutes to ensure an even heat.  Use a magnet to see when it's ready and maintain the color for a bit before quench. 
Put your quench bucket in a safe place!  You don't want burning oil spilled in your shop.

I was actually able to get a bit of hardness to my used 410 ss sear.. heated it to a vary brite orange almost yellow and quenching in peanut oil. On one end a file grabs, heated end it hardly scratches it and mostly skates over..
Alot better than before and hard enough for this application.
So apparently it can be improved upon at least some..
I only heated the sear break over ledge, whole thing isn't needed for this application.
