Defensor Forever appears to be the maker of the QM23. They are Chilean.

For those new owners of the QM23 Bullpup, I ordered this UTG case for mine and it just barely fits, but it does fit. (UTG 28" KIS Keep-It-Simple Gun Case, 600D Polyester, Black)

A thought just occured to me, I have a small Sig Romeo 5 red dot optic on my rifle, but adding a larger optic will prevent it from fitting in the UTG case that I mentioned above.

After some Pro's & Cons between the M18 Rail and QM23 Bullpup I'm considering being one for the Bullpup
both have good features (Considering Chinese Made) some I would like to see improved
IMO the M18 rail is lacking features as multiple shot magazine,  16" barrel, but here again the straight air flow eliminating the transfer port could account for this feature, liking the dual manometers, 350cc air bottle. carrying extra bottles on hunts (Product is Still in my watch list)
only feature that seems awkward to me is pushing forward on the bolt to set the trigger, but that's just me.

Again IMO Having 2 other Brand Bullpups, I see more Mod potential with this Bullpup to fool around with then the M18

NO discredit to owners of the M18,  as to everyone's preference differs

Back_Roads, it says in the video above around 1:50 he says the stock can be "straightened" I wondered if that will help your alignment issue.. Now I have to buy some .22's

I just ordered the M18 with 20% off.

I have an Air Force Talon SS .20 with an additional .22 barrel.

So this M18 will be similar.

Hope it shoots as good. ( or at least OK )

It is not the Snow peak M-18 but it is a nice rifle for the price.

Quite possible it is manufactured by Snowpeak.

However, it is a clone of a Chilean company, Defensor Forever.

About 90% of all air guns, and everything else for that matter, are made in China. Air guns made somewhere else are the exception rather than the norm. It is single shot since it is a semi-clone of an Airforce rifle, and they are single shot guns

They are not branded by Artemis or Snowpeak though they are made in China of course. They appear to have started with an Artemis design and made a lot of modifications to it. Pinty is just the USA distributor, and Defensor Forever is the Chilean distributor. Which factory actually manufacturers them is an unknown at the moment, but I would guess it is the China Airrifle factory in Shaoxing, China since that is the factory where they make the Artemis/Snowpeak guns and they would already have the dies and other equipment on hand to make guns based off of those designs and those parts.

The bullpup seems to be loosely based on the Artemis P15 and P35 guns, the traditional stocked rifle based on the Artemis M16, and the single shot is of course based on an Airforce design but probably a modification of the Artemis Snowpeak M18. I say "based" meaning as far as superficial "looks" since there are many changes (and "upgrades") from all the original rifle designs. Some parts are no doubt exactly the same as the Snowpeak parts, but many others are not. The stocks, receiver, rails, cocking levers, magazines, etc, are different.The barrels, valves & hammers, and regulators seem the same.

I wouldn't call it a "clone". I think it is more of an evolution into a different model and I would almost bet money it is made in the same factory as the Artemis Snowpeak guns. Barrel, rail, stock, receiver, shroud, foregrip, etc all different. Hammer, valve and regulator may be the same.

The Snowpeak M18 has its origins in the AirForce Talon. This rifle has its origins in the M18.

The bullpup is a Defensor QM23. The QM23 has its origins in the Snowpeak P15/P35.

The rifle has its origins in the Snowpeak M16.

Just easier to write clone.

I'd say it is pretty clear which Chinese plant designed and built the Pinty rifles and what they used as a template.
