Daisy Power Line Model 62 Target Pistol

December was good to me  in terms of air gun acquisitions.  I had a few pistols show up that were in much better shape than than they appeared in the limited low res pics I saw online.  One of them is this Daisy Power Line 62, which is a fairly rare pistol marketed by Daisy from 1974-1978.  There aren't many pics of the 62 online and I haven't been able to find any of the packaging, so I figured I share some pics for those interested in Daisy air guns from the 70s.

Daisy was importing and selling a few Gamo products from Spain during this time period, and the 62 was one of them.  It is basically a rebranded Gamo "Center", and even the packaging used by Daisy was identical to the Spanish version, minus a new Daisy marked outer cardboard layer.

The pistol has a nice balance to it, and has adjustable sights and trigger.  A particularly interesting feature is the ability to adjust the angle of the grip.  There is a screw in the handle that can be loosened, and the grip can be tilted forward or back. 

I was hoping to be able to shoot this one, but it is factory new!  Looks like I'll now be on the search for one I can rebuild and shoot.  For more info, check our Nibs over on the Walnut and Steel channel on Youtube.  He has a few videos that feature a 62 he picked up and tested against some other air pistols.

Agreed that it is a pretty interesting design! 

I'm typically a shoot it kind of guy, but I tend to hold off on the ones that seem to be special.  This is one of the few I'll place in that category.  Plus I have way too many others on the bench and in the collection to keep me busy in the back yard!

I'd vote to shoot it also.   I used to have quite a few guns that I wouldn't shoot  because they were in such perfect condition.   But as I got older and time was getting shorter, I've decided to shoot pretty much everything I own, no matter how nice the condition is.   I might only shoot it a few times but I don't want to die someday and have someone else be the one to shoot it.

They could be had with different sight configurations. It's a pistol I wanted when I wanted one of everything I wanted. I've seen them on eBay before but I no longer peruse the air pistol category. I think I might/would buy one if it was in front of me and the the price was right. I have a few Gamo Compacts and really like them but not so sure I would pay the $250+ they sell for new.

I have a Gamo Falcon same gun.  Pretty decent shooter.  Really like the way it loads.
