Unwrapping Shipped Airguns

"Blue Painters" tape is a blessing for the packaging on the gun whether butchers paper or bubble wrap .
 But I always use "packing" tape  on the box itself.

I just used white duct tape on bubble wrap for a long, fragile object I am sending across the country. With a square of pellet tin packing foam inside one end, plus a neoprene vest for added cush. But on the outside of the box, shipping tape to minimize the Ma-and-Pa-Kettle look.

I'd much rather have to cut away lots of protection than find damaged goods!!!

You guys should order pellets from Amazon. You'll love their lack of shipping  protection! Lol

I'm a gambling man myself.  I like to live life on the edge.  I order stuff from Midway USA!  Three tins of pellets and a scope in one (thinly) padded mailing envelope.

Bout time to roll the dice again!

All the items I have received from Ron were very carefully packed.  In fact the Elm stock he made for my Crosman 2200 was wrapped up like a mummy. . . . . . .

I like extra packing.. I save it to wrap stuff I ship out with.

X they've been bad for years at not properly padding items and I've left numerous complaints about it as well and I know many others have too yet they still do it.

I get a ton of stuff from Amazon, I'm very familiar with their packaging practices. Most of the time, I am content. But, yes, I loathe when my packages are not well protected, but this thread is about the opposite of that. I'm more than happy to spend extra time "unwrapping" if it more than assures that my product is safe and unscathed.
