That's amazing for 1912, beautiful air rifle!I wonder how they measured fps in 1911?
Awesome model D! I love those old BSAs!

Warm enough today to chrony with 14.5 SuperDomes; it was hitting 604 FPS or 11.75 FPE. Right up to specs of 1912 that advertised 600 FPS. Barely legal under current law in the UK! Somehow this didn’t totally surprise me cause of the condition inside and out. Very cool to do this with original spring and leather seal. Couldn’t be more pleased.Hope John Milewski doesn’t mind me featuring a paragraph from his awesome “Book of the BSA Air Rifle”
