I must be getting old... I wanted socks.
After I showed Nick the Mossy Oak fake damascus knife set I got in the Tractor supply bargain bin, he gave me my Christmas gift, he gave me one last year also, he gets airgun related stuff from me to feed his beast
Well I did get a few things for myself like some fishing tackle, hip waders, and Santa brought me a car load of car parts. There is a complete bumper, radiator, electric fans, head lights, somewhere in that mess is a water pump, fan belt, engine mounts, and all the bits and bobs to screw it all back together. China freight supplied me the with tools to straighten out the mess.

The only thing technically I have to replace is the bumper, head lights, and radiator to get it past DMV inspection. The rest is preventative maintenance for it. Since I am having to take stuff down to the frame might as well replace it now and not later.
That would be many thousands to repair at a body shop. You are fortunate to be able to do those kinds of repairs yourself.
I WANT THAT KA-BAR! Looks like a Crescent Wrench had a cutting date one night.
YT and mechanic friends have been a big help as well. I wanted to learn, got tired of being taken to the cleaners every time I had to have something fixed or not fixed.

I despise people taking advantage of other people for profit, but especially doing so with women. They'll reap what they sow. Wish you knew someone with a warm shop you could work on the van in to keep out of the cold.
That is some funny stuff Bob!Unfortunately I can relate.
I like nice knives as much as anyone but I have an incurable practical inclination. I collect good kitchen knives for the memsahib but for myself three knives suffice. My original Leatherman tool, a 2.5" Kershaw pocket knife and a 4.5" green river drop point.Today my order from PA arrived with my totally frivolous Springfield Armory M1 carbine. I was surprised. The thing is actually fairly accurate! It's not the BB hose I expected. I may not gift this thing to my brother after all.

I hope you have good luck with your M1 carbine, mine just will not run. When I first got the gun it would mostly get through 1 magazine if I shot it very slowly then it quickly got worse from there, now it will barely get a few shots before freezing up and running out of gas.As far as I know it's not just leaking out the mag or anything, but I cannot figure out what the problem could possibly be.
