I'm NOT a fan of the Vortex air spring but I may buy a 25 cal regardless. They shoot quite well until the Vortex leaks.
I have parts to repair leaky Vortex but much prefer to convert to coil spring. Have parts for that also.

 the AT44 even for 149.00 I would pass, gun weighs 9.7# w/o any scope so your talking close to12# with a fairly light scope..Anymore I prefer guns in the 8.5-9# carry weight or lighter. My Veteran2 is 10.7# scoped and even though very well balanced its heavy when carrying hunting even with a sling. So its a pass for me.

Same here. They were great when new, and then they lost a lot of pressure within a few years.

I haven't experienced this with any air guns that use the Crosman "Nitro-Piston," though. At least not yet.

 AT44 simple hammer spring adjustment, gets a good 30 or more shot bell curve and possibly not needing to fill to full 3000 psi, I just moved them heavy things as I had a new used area rug to lay down in the gun room, my Marauder isn't any lighter

My crosman and Benjamin nitros lose air the same way. May have to convert them to spingers some day

The AT44 and Marauder are from the same generation.
They came around 12-15 years ago.

At least Hatsan is realistic about the competition that the AT44 faces and decided to discntinue it.

Crosman still believes it's 2009.

I don't think so, but I'm not on an employee or on the "Board of Directors" ;-)

PA is certainly trying to flush old stock so they can say anything they want (within reason) to make a sale. IMO a low price beats marketing hype every time.

DAR may be on track for a Gen4 so PA running out Gen3 stock is to be expected.

I believe Hatsan may be discontinuing the AT44 line? It is an old heavy design. A GOOD one IMO but there is competition so a newer lighter style rifle (Flash?) will likely fill that niche. There are some AT44 versions on the HatsanUSA website but they are listed as "closeout" also.

I have one older closeout PA version and do not recommend it. PumpAction is clunky, loud, and inefficient. NOT good for any bench shooting. The side lever action is SO MUCH better IMO.

Hunting/pesting conditions where the PA would be better than the side lever are RARE for me.  I acquired the PA on closeout sale more for curiosity than practical use. I don't regret the purchase because it was only a little above the cost of a new air tube alone. Spare parts at a good price are always welcome :-)

If you are concerned about parts and service on Hatsan AT44 there will likely be a fair used parts market for some time. I've never used Hatsan repair service. In general manufacturer repair service is often rushed and not up to my expectations so I do all my own repairs if/when needed.
