Daisy 7x7 Grip Screw Help

I am missing both grip screws for my older 747 pistol, and it appears I have carelessly lost or misplaced them. I’ve checked the schematics online but cannot find a part number associated with the screw. While I can call Daisy, I’d really like to go to Ace Hardware and buy 6-8 to have them in stock just in case as I have 2 each 717, 747, and 777s (one bought new in box).
I’m hoping a member can provide me what’s needed to buy them from Ace, size (6,8,10, etc), threads info, etc. I think the threads are sheet metal type, not machine screws, but I am not very mechanically inclined. Any and all information required to buy the correct screws would be appreciated as I’d like to get the 747 shooting quickly.
Thank You - Dave B.

I just had mine apart yesterday and pretty sure they were either #6 or #8 machine screws, about 3/8" length countersink head, phillips, blued finish.
If you hit a steel screw with a propane touch for a bit it will blacken. Hopefully I'll remember to check when I get home, but it's probably easiest to get a package of both from WallyWorld and just try them (the correct one should easily engage the threads using just your fingers).
The only warning I'd give is you will crack the grips if you use pan head screws. Maybe a call to daisy would referee the 6/8?

Dang, I'm wrong. They are probably specialty. Kinda like a sheet metal type about 1/8 diameter, length I got about right.
I'm thinking they cut threads as they are installed to cut down on manufacturing cost (no machining).
A sheet rock screw might work.
