Ok guys, stupid question here. To remove the factory pipe , I assume the threaded end cap must be removed first, yes? Well, mine is threaded on like someone used an impact gun on it. What is best way to get the frizzlin thing off without grinding everything up.
20°FWind from North @ 31 MPHFor three days now it has been cold and stormy out with blowing snow so I have not been able to shoot the Raider....NVak
Looking at the setup they provide, I think a 11mm to weaver cantilever , if it clears the mag, would be a good solid mounting option.https://www.ebay.com/itm/314028998195? This could be another option just to get more purchase and reinforcement to the 11mm rail. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266249693342?
It's not the synthetic receiver. Many of my airguns with a metal receiver will lose zero without doing anything special to them.If you want to not lose zero in those field/hunting conditions you will have to use open sights or small scopes.I am not sure which airgun setup would not lose zero in the conditions you described.
Got to shoot my Raider .25 today! Before I went out though, I checked my hammer spring, figured that like everyone else, I would need to back it off to prevent the hammer bounce. Guess what? Looks like mine was never hogged down to begin with. So I filled it to 3500 lbs pressure, loaded up 2 mags with 18 grain lead H&N pellets, and hit the squirrel jungle. Ohh, I did mount a 3x9x40 Simmons. Zero was simple at 25 yards. I fired 3 full mags, and ended with pressure at 15,1600lbs pressure remaining. Accuracy was excellent, those H&N's make a good smack hitting my target boxes. Anyway, I was very happy with mine, other than the moderator that don't seem to moderate much of anything, much less noise. Gotta do something bout that. It is definitely a pest buster for sure. I will use it on my tree rats and trash pandas.
