Some here do.  They compete in EBR, FT, WFT, EFT, etc., where the clarity of glass is critical.  It was a big discount on a high end scope.

Don't assume that everyone shoots the same as you do. And this may surprise you, but scopes can be used on PBs too! Many of us are not strictly air gun.

That's about the same price I paid for my Bushnell Elite 6-24x50 FFP G2DMR scope back in 2015---I was going to mount it on my Air Arms S500 but got called by the US embassy to get my behind stateside within 3 months or was it 2? 

I was still the Philippines at that time, and my uncle, a police general ( now deceased), brought it with him from the US to the PI.

It was my 4th Elite scope, and it's somewhat funny that I don't own a scope that is more than $300 here in the US 

Got no warranty coverage in the PI, so I bought top tier scopes 

 I thought I would be purchasing NF or other expensive brands when I came here, but NO, I got overwhelmed by the hundreds of much cheaper choices so w/in my reach and with excellent warranties 👍 🤗

I'm in favor of people posting things related to the product mentioned, but saying "that's too expensive for me" clutters up the thread and makes it harder to find useful posts. Between that and the replies that are even more negative, people may hesitate to post bargains in the future. People usually don't like being told that their help isn't appreciated when they're trying to do something to help others.

Look how Stephen basically had to defend posting this here a few times. How likely do you think he is to share the next deal he finds? I'm a lot less inclined to post bargains than I used to be since pooping on other people's bargains has become more common, and apparently accepted.

The scope you posted is lower magnification and clearly not even in the same class if it costs 10x less. While you may not be into $1k glass, others are, so posting a cheap-o scope with lower magnification is of limited relevance. Even so, this post would not have been so bad if you had not felt the need to say:

That's where you went from a questionably relevent post to pooping.

Just my opinion, but Arken Optics is hard to beat if you are in the market for a "budget-friendly" FFP scope.  I got the Arken SH-4J (J=Japanese glass) 6-24x50 34mm tube FFP for $330 this summer and love it.  All their scopes come with Lifetime warranty. 

I needed a big/heavy scope for my 30-06 that had killed 2 cheap scopes on a light 6.5 lb gun, but I did not expect such a great scope (w/great reviews) with options like zero reset and zero stop, and all the dials being perfect with highly audible clicks, and tracking so accurately.  I can dial in 40 or 50 MOA and back again, and the shot is right back on the bull at 100yds.  This scope shrunk the groups from 1.5"-2" to 0.8"-1" at 16x and I will stretch it out to 200yds next spring at the range because this scope makes it easy for my aging eyes.  I love the 34mm tube!  Everything is so bright and clear as compared to my $100-$200 scopes.

Arken also makes the EPL4 6-24x50 FFP which is lighter (around 24-25oz) with a 30mm tube for hunting in the woods (lighter) for around $300.  That will probably be my next scope if I ever get a big bore (if NY allows big bore AG hunting).  But I might get one for my other PB's (like the .308) before that

If you find the same scope the OP posted for less than $896, then by all means post or provide your opinion on the scope's performance if you own one.  But if you feel $900 is too much for you or too much of a scope for your rifle there is no need to cr*ap all over the OP's thread or criticize him for posting a sale price on an expensive scope.  There are uses for such a scope on an FX or Daystate to get the most accuracy out of a high-end air rifle or even less expensive accurate PCP's whose owners seek to improve long range shooting or hunting.
