Would any of you guys buy this thing for $200 ?

I think it's cool that this thing is so small, and it's modularity is interesting , but otherwise I'm not remotely interested in buying one.

I just cannot stand the star wars blaster kind of look to this thing ( namely the trigger guard shape ) , or the fact that the only options are red and blue.
If it was more conventional looking I'd consider getting one.

I also don't like that the folks responsible for this thing ( Goblin air sports) previously teased us with this fully fleshed out functional pre production sample of the ATOM 8 air pistol which they never delivered.

That gun was very cool and not terribly ugly like this monstrosity,  man I couldn't wait for that thing to be released so I could be one of the first people to buy one.

The only thing this really has going for it is the fact that they've actually produced them and you can buy one, for now anyways.
I suspect that the barrels for paintball and airsoft will probably keep this on the market for longer than it would otherwise but I do think it's unlikely to be available for more than 10 years.

I would not buy it at any price, given that it is essentially useless and is fugly!!!

Too bad it's effective only at ridiculously short distance. If it were good to, say, even just 25 ft, it could be fun for indoor shooting. No lead.

The very small size and all metal appeal to me. But the extremely limited range cancels that out.

It's so weird looking it is cute in a novelty item way. I wouldn't pay $200 for a novelty item of such little use. David's comment about throwing a rock applies to me, too. Let's not forget good old slingshots that use all kinds of ammo and are very inexpensive.

Now this thing is way cooler.
It would have to be scaled up a bit so it could shoot 4.5mm BB's at about 150fps at least and shoot a minimum of 2" groups at say 10-15' but otherwise an economized version of something like this might sell fairly well.

I don't personally think the limited range or low power or are really problematic things, but it just all adds up here.
It's terrible looking, it's costly, it's only single shot, and it likely has terrible accuracy.
Not to mention those terrible dart things really making this thing look bad.
Complaints about the performance of this thing reminds me of Tom Gaylords review of the old Daisy no.177 targeeteer / target special.
They're quite low powered ( his performs below average) and not particularly accurate,  but I have 2 of them that I quite love shooting from my recliner 10' across my living room.
He said basically nobody at the gun shows would ever buy them, and I think he's a hit foolish in that regard.

Heck I am crazy enough to be looking for one of those cheap old J Harrington GAT pistols which I actually intend to shoot because my standards aren't very demanding for something I want to shoot in my living room.

If it wasn't so ugly, and was a dedicated single shot .177 pellet / dart I would buy one for as much as $75.
As it is no I would not, it seems to me like this is really just a single shot paintball pistol that they made other barrels for because they easily could.
