I’ve had a B1-1 Shanghai for thirty years and the sear just wore out and will not hold, I do intend to try my utmost to remedy that.
Just received a new B1-1 from Amazon and I am tickled by it. This rifle is the nicest “B” series rifles I’ve seen and I own and worked on way too many. Got it yesterday and did a quick lube tune this morning then shot a 250 tin of cheap pointed Crosman .177 deep seating with a straight Bic pen and constantly hitting 2” swingers at 20 yards Offhand. Like all of them the trigger is horrible but it’s for plinking so I’m ok with it. I may go buy a lottery ticket.

As to my original B1 circa 1990, it was not the sear , at some point in the last thirty-four years l cut the trigger return spring to lighten the trigger which was a phase I went through and know better now. At 0300 today I went through my springs and found Wilson Combat Smith & Wesson J-frame spring kits with different strength trigger rebound springs. I did action jobs on my Wife and I’s 442 revolvers many years ago and these springs were left over. For the age and wear on the rifle the factory S&W trigger rebound spring was perfect, nice straight alignment no curling  the sear catches every time and the trigger is not too bad. I refuse to measure the weight on these B series triggers I just want  them usable and safe.

 Good thinking, glad that worked out.
  I had a Crosman 3100 (made by Cometa in Spain, a rebadged Cometa 100) and had read about clipping one coil from the trigger spring to lighten it.
 Learned the hard way it was bad news.  Direct trigger/sear engagement, and now it would not catch when I tried to cock it.
 Had to send to TW Chambers in England for replacement.

You ought shoot it at paper and see how it groups. You'll be surprised sometimes by these Chinese guns. If you got a spare scope around? You can tap the front sight side ways for windage but that rear sight ain't fine adjustment.

The old one now is sitting in the corner with a hang tag stating sear will not hold. I’ll get roundtuit some time. On the new one I modified the trigger to be straight, helped a bunch.
