Absolutely beautiful rifle Brett!
Brett that thing looks sexy, I have never felt one, and wondered the same. How does it shoot, factory guts or aftermarket/home tune? Did you end up with a 25 or 26mm piston? Either way great find.Jason
Jason,I love Tyrollean stocks! They just work.-Y
That's a beauty, Brett!
That's a beauty - and quite rare. Not too many Tyro 77's were made.
Very recently I picked up a 77 wearing a Tyrolean stock. I always thought the Tyro stocks were funky looking in a good way but wondered what it actually felt like to shoulder one and shoot it. Well, I have to say it’s superb! It makes a near perfect offhand shooter. Another first for me is the long action. I prefer shorter guns. This long barreled 77 works great with the Tyro stock. Cocking it is smooth and easy. This rifle has some definite signs of use but it is a confidence inspiring beast to handle and I love its uniqueness! I do have plans to give it a facelift but I’m sure that plan will sink to the bottom of the priority list. Time will tell. Thanks for looking!
gracious, that rifle is GORGEOUS!!!
That is one cool shooter. I've got a super-secret stash set aside for a 77, not sure what I'll get maybe even a new 77K.Enjoy that thing it looks great!

Very Beautiful Gun Brett .Now, if I could only find an HW55 with Walnut stock in nice condition ...............
Super nice, man. Congratulations on a rare find. I'd love to add that one to my meager collection. Also glad the stock fits you. I shoot with a big guy who acquired an HW55 Tyrolean many years ago and just couldn't warm up to it and sold it. I don't think it's a one-size-fits-all design. You either love it or you don't. I have a Tyrolean stocked HW and at first the feel was just plain weird. Not really uncomfortable, just weird but I quickly got used to it and regard it as the most comfortable stock of any air gun I have shouldered. Congrats again.
