If that’s air tool oil,I believe I read  on here don’t use..best to,stick with what we know works…surprised u haven’t had any responses…good luck

Not to sound offensive, but topics like these have already been discussed a thousand times for C02 and pumper airguns.

One could always use Pelgun oil, or a liter of non-detergent SAE 30 oil that would last you 10 lifetimes or even more.

Looking at old threads on the topic, I came across mixed suggestions. Having some comments from folks I recognize here might help.

The oil is from a hobby shop and likely fits in the RC car oil category.

In a recent thread on the dragonfly that went deeper than any I've seen, there was a use of ballistol on a foam pad.  I don't have much pumper experience outside a dragonfly I've shot for a while and the 362 I got recently and really like. No foam pad there (362).

I've read some folks using Mobil1 synthetic, which I have for the truck and the motorcycle. Some pics of old valves I saw showed me the long term gauge of whether a proper oil was used or not. If memory serves, I saw a gummed up valve that was pellgun oiled over the long term.

I do not know if the lube I shared a pic of is susceptible to gumming the valve over time like the pellgun oil.  I have never put synthetic motor oil on an airgun part knowing it will end up in the gunwhen firing,  Thanks for your time. Suggestions appreciated.

I looked this stuff up online. The only purpose it states it is for are things like RC gears, model train gears, bicycle chains and gears. It states that it is a "heavy" purpose oil. Having read these things, I personally would not use it in an air gun application. Heavy use says to me high viscosity (thick) which could possibly trap particles of dirt and/or grime and transfer that into your valve. The pumping action in a pumper also creates heat from friction. How much heat depends on how quickly it is pumped and how often. In my experience, higher viscosity in a friction environment causes gumming over time but others may share a different experience.

The best option is to stick with what is known to work. The ones mentioned above work great for many and are inexpensive. I use Mac 1 Secret Sauce.

Good recommendations.  I wonder how long or how many applications it would take to  get 'gummy'?  But if it does, you can always tear it down, clean it out, and rebuild it, good as new.

You don't really need to lube the pump cup, well, unless it is bone dry and sticking I guess.  Usually, you just keep the pivot points on the pump arm moist with oil, and that will gradually migrate to the pump cup and then through the rest of the system.

Thanks for the suggestions.  The lube in the pic is a silicone kind of oil like the ones mentioned in the articles.  Good for orings.  Maybe not good for valves.

I think I will try some mobile1 on the pivot points. I got to this question because I noticed a small squeek from dryness I think that wasn't there before.

I've used the lube in the pic  on co2 guns and pcps with no issues following recommendations in threads here, but had second thoughts when looking up pumper maintenance in more depth in light of the squeek of the 362.  I use the lube in the pic rarely and in small amounts on pcps when filling and on the top of co2 carts every few times. 

This will be my first experience with mobil1.  Thank you for your patience and suggestions. More are welcome if anyone cares to discuss this topic anew. Having read many old threads on this, I am still here for it.
