Field target club name

I am trying to build a field target club in IOWA. I live in the Iowa city Cedar Rapids area and figure an hours and a half drive is about as far as I would want to drive every month to shoot. More like forty five minutes.
But let’s see where people live before scouting a location

I think the first thing to do is a name.

let’s have some ideas and make sure the name is not taken or mean something that will cause problems or embarrassment.

My first choose is IFTA. Iowa Field Target Association.


It is taken by some other entities but might work.

I will probably have to start a Facebook page that can function as a center point for scheduling and rain out information and dates. Field target does not rain out but Iowa can have weather without rain that keeps you home.

The name is the first thing they need.

Any suggestions?

At this point the number one choice is HFTA
Hawkeye Field target Association.

Being in Iowa that is a really good one.

I have settled on HFTA or Hawkeye Field Target Association.
At least that is the name of the Facebook page.
I am going to start a Facebook page as the first step in the club. That will act as a place for scheduling and information.
Anyone can joint and a welcome everyone to join in and help bring Field Target to Iowa
The page will be private but the password will be .177. Hopefully that will keep out the spam.

Need to update this thread.
The name of the group is the Iowa Field Target Association or IFTA.

And we are making progress toward bringing field target to Iowa.

Today I am pleased to announce that I am joining the West Liberty gun club.
Located in West Liberty Iowa . I plan to use the beautiful facility as a home base for the Iowa Field Target Association starting in 2025.
Things are shaping up.

Currently after two month there are nineteen members in the facebook group. I post up videos everyday showing anything I can find about airguns. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please help me think of content.
and please join just to help boost numbers and start some conversation. Iowa has very little exposure to airguns.

I have decided on Iowa Field Target Association. iFTA  for short. I am sorry for the confusion. This has been a project.
Do you live in Cedar Rapids? I race RC cars there all the time.
