If you are using it as a guide which I assume is to keep the spring straight, why is a shorter shell casing better? And does anyone know if the LPA MIM rear sight work on the Baker Airgun Aluminum breech? I'm not liking the plastic one and don't think I'd like to add 2 pounds to the gun for the steel one. I probably could live with the current rear sight but would like an option down the road should I desire. I've never used or seen a red dot "scope". Do they mount behind the bolt or in front? Anyone have one they might recommend should I go with an aluminum breech?Probably getting way ahead of myself since I've only had the gun a day.
As far as Red Dot Sights go, I recently asked a lot of questions on this forum and got great help. Went with a Pinty Open Reflex 2 MOA sight. It mounts forward of the bolt. I had to also pick up a Picatinny to dovetail/11mm adapter to allow the mounting of the Red Dot. Great fit and a joy to shoot.
No, the LPA Mim sight will not fit the Baker breeches. The LPA sight fits in a sideways reverse dovetail slot cut into the back of the Crosman breech. You can however use the plastic breech sights on the Baker breech. Otherwise with the Baker Airguns aluminum breech, the best option I can find is Williams diopter sights that fit 11mm dovetail.
If your into modifying air guns, new valves new pistons ect. The 1322 can make 12 ft. lbs. on 12 pumps with the stock length barrel.
I don't know what 12ft lbs equates to in velocity...

With the stock barrel mine does 538fps at 10 pumps and 619 at 14 pumps before it starts retainig air. With CPHPs. I ran the plastic breech on my 3622 for a month or so, it's a good setup, I just wish it were made of aluminum, and the rear sight too. No reason not to dovetail it for scope mounting too. I would gladly pay extra.

I can chrono it for you if you'd like, but my gun isn't stock anymore. I can borrow the daughter's and run it over the chrono. It'll have to wait until tomorrow though, my honey and I are spending the day enjoying Michigan's thumb with friends on our motorcycles. No, don't have the plastic breech anymore, it's a Crosman steel breech. But the breech doesn't affect velocity, it gives a rock solid place to mount a scope
Crosman is now bought out by Daisy, and already things like the 13xx line (and parts) are becoming obsolete. Hurried and got the 1322 while I could still find one.
