I've been reading all the information I can on this gun. I don't even know if it's 22 or 177. Can someone help me identify it? I'll post some pictures

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

This is a Crosman 101 and I believe they were all in .22, but you could just look at the muzzle.

Correct, 101s were 22s, but there was also a model 100 in 177. From what I gather they're kind of rare.
I have one like that, they're good shooting rifles. Somewhere in the past I found a posting of the original Crosman owners manual. It was chock full of good info on shooting, maintaining, and rebuilding them. They claimed they were good for 12 pumps for hunting, but I wouldn't put that much wear on mine, they're not the most overbuilt guns. 5 pumps is fine for the plinking I use it for, I have more robust rifles to push hard. Enjoy your rifle, they have a natural feel to them you can't match with a modern gun

Try sliding a .177 pellet in the breech and see if it slides out the barrel when you tip it down. Or try to drop it in the muzzle, either way you'll know immediately.

Is the pump arm furniture wood or hard gum?

Looks like one of the more common, later production year models. 1940s likely (though could be earlier) but not 1949. Here's a couple links for you to dig into, one a cideo and the other an old gta thread with updates as you scroll down.

1946 to mid 1948 manufacture.
Last post in this thread identifies it by the Crosman logo.
