Disco Accutacy - Cleaning Barrel

I have found that after cleaning the barrel I only get about 2-3 fills of good accuracy out of mine before accuracy starts falling off. I'll clean it and get good groups again.

I's this fairly common or is there something I should try to get accuracy to last longer? I clean it with GooGone.

Some barrels..yes. good news is that as you shoot it, clean it, shoot it, etc. it tends to go longer and longer between cleanings.

Can hurry the process...but some people tend to go too far...by polishing the bore lighty with JB past (sold for centerfire barrels..can find it on-line).  Don't over do it, and clean the devil out of it with goo-gone after the polishing (really, if you are going to do this, much prefer to do this with the barrel all the way off the gun).

Peronally...would just clean the barrel as you have been and wait about 500 rounds (that would work out to 10 to 20 cleanings) and see how it behaives then.

What pellet are you using? Some are soft and lead up faster or are dirty

Premeirs are hard and if the barrel is realatively rough the Finishline KrYtech Wax Lube could extend cleaning intervals 2 or 3 fold. A proper leade clean up and crown job can also make a lot of difference in how a barrel shoots and how clean it runs. Extended Bolt probes allow the bolt to chamber the pellet into the riffling. That will result in the least amount of chunks entering the rifling zone.
On Discos the factory bolt probe is so short the gun actually fires the pellet into the leade and a lot of debris can be created by that collision. That is the feature that makes Mac1 Discos shoot as well as they do.

I sent it to Mac1 and wasn't impressed. Hold on done shot me yet. The guy I bought it from re-crowned the barrel, polished the lead in and rifling. When I got it back from mac1, it only shot slightly better. I think the seller did a good job with the work he did, but maybe he polished to much.

I'm shooting JSB CPHP and CPUM.

I did order a new barrel. I got it, opened the box and--------- no barrel!!!!!  I have to call Crosman because there is a nice hole in the box ware the barrel tube punched through the box?

When I get the new barrel I'll see how that shoots, Maybe I'll try something on my own if it's not good enough or I'll send it to Mac1.

What's with this GooGone? I use Butch's Bore shine on my powder guns and air guns and never had a problem. Yes, my newgun bores get an initial treatment with J-B bore paste. I just don't see GooGone having any lead residue removing properties.

Goo Gone should only be used on a new gun.  Goo Gone If I remember correctly is some sort of degreaser and adhesive remover.
