First ever for me Daisy 499 competition bb gun, that "click" when you drop the bb down the barrel and it hits the magnet, something special about that.

Except it takes too long with those match grade bb's.

I sold mine, was beautiful wood and metal, looking for another one now. Patience has it's rewards, for the click to come. oddly satisfying ......

I didn't really like the price, so I kept hoping to find a used one cheap enough but everything I found was rougher than I wanted so I bit the bullet and went new.
I'm glad I did because there's no telling if a used one would have a good bore.
I bought mine a few months back and have been extremely happy with it.

 I bought a new barrel/bore on ebay from one of our own members here. cobalt327
 The one that came with the rifle was plugged with dirt/mud/ rust.

Sadly, the one I sold was mint exterior, but accuracy was not great. Bought two shot tubes from Daisy, not much money and one of them shot lights out.
