I am a fan of Weihrauch and Diana. Diana 34 and 350 magnum were my first airguns and I later got weihrauch hw97k and hw35e. I would like to know how do Diana 34 compare with weihrauch hw 95? Weihrauch are difficult to get here in India. Thanks KapilMumbai, India
Yogi, I have noticed lately that you advocate for people to buy both guns their asking about? you must think we're all rich LOL!!! which of these would you buy and Why?
Good thread, the 95 vs the 34!I currently own both, a 177 HW95 with an old R9 style stock which I have owned for years and a 22 Diana 34 T05 Classic which came from a friend at a price too good to say no. For me they are both very different rifles in terms of balance. I am 5’11” with an average build. I find due to the length of the piston that Diana’s are much more muzzle heavy and for me seem a bit more clumsy so I get a little more end shake. As for the 95 I find the balance a little further back to the middle of the rifle which I prefer. As for actual build quality I would say they are about equal really although Diana does employ some plastic but who doesnt now a days. I dont really see it as a negative. As for the trigger I prefer the Record trigger mostly because I am used to it and its familiar. The Diana I have is a T05 so took a lot of work to get a short clean break. I have not used a T06 so can’t comment. One thing I really like about the 34 classic is the elongated forend. I think it really makes for a clean slimming look compared to a standard 34 which I think is actually kind of ugly. I should add I do different things with each rifle. My 95 is set up with a 12x scope and it is my pest gun with dependable trigger that I can shoot just right every time. The 34 is set up with an HW77 rear sight so I can plink pop cans at long range. I even added some lead weights to the butt stock for counter balance. They are both great rifles which are nicely tuned and serve a different purpose for me. As for a friend of mine he does all his pesting with a 34 pro compact. I guess if I only kept one it would be the 95 but then I wouldn’t have my plinker.Ignore the rough finish on the 34 butt stock, I have since cleaned it up.
Mark, Yogi….Dont forget the basement gun too!
