Assistance Determining Date Of Older Crosman Powermaster 760

My cousin informed me that he has an older Crosman Powermaster 760.  The gun does not hold air so I offered to rebuild it with all new seals and a pump cup.  The first thing I want to do is determine the date of manufacture.  I did a lot of digging on GTA and determined it’s pre July 1975 because the first three digits of the serial do not correspond to a month and year.  The serial is 00036259.  I have not had the gun in my hands yet but here is what I see from the pictures I attached.

Brass Bolt
Metal receiver
Maybe a Styrene stock?
Wooden Forearm?
No scope rails?

The big thing that’s a mystery to me is it has the number 2 stamped on the barrel band.  My understanding is that pre July 1975, a three digit month and year was stamped on the end of the barrel band.  I know Crosman used different parts from different years sometimes to go through all their parts.  Maybe the ‘2’ means 72?
Help me solve this mystery.

Most probably.

Bear in mind that these are self-cockers, so they don't use the same seal kit as a more modern, cartridge-type valve.

I appreciate you referencing this resource.  I did check this one out prior and it does appear to mid 70s based on features that I think the gun has.

Aside from the serial number on the bottom of the receiver and the stamp on the pump pivot, that one is identical to a January of '72 model that I have.  (Although mine's so rusty I call it Tetanus.  It's also rather scratched up.)

Crosman must have been using whatever parts they had on hand at the beginning of that gun's life.  I'd go with '75 because that's when they started putting serial numbers on the receivers.  All that said, it's in really nice shape.  I really like the weight of the styrene stock and forearm.

Yeah.  I looked into the pre-1975 rebuilds and I looks like I need to press the washer that sits on top of the pump cup out.  I did find the parts diagram from Crosman’s site for that vintage of gun.  I will be sure to look for the pre-July 1975 parts.
