1 Week with my Disco .22

I have had the gun for 1 week now and yes it has been partially disassembled for various reasons. First the gun out of the box is very accurate although a second barrel band, LDC, and a Leapers 3-9 X 40 AO scope went on first.  Bit of a pain since the LDC is in the way so it has to come off to fill.  I am pumping and it wasn't that bad going from zero to 2000 psi.  Took my time and did it slowly.
 So far it likes what ever pellet I use CPHP, CP Domed FT, Benjamin HP, CP Pointed, and the only heavy pellet I have the JSB Exact heavy 18.1 g.  The rest are 14.3g.  I don't have a long range to shoot at so 10 yards is all I have to work with here.  I've been lucky to be able to go where I can stretch it out to 50 yards every 3-4 weeks with buddy.
 As for any mods to the gun, yes, the 2 screw trigger, and polish.  Rear power adjuster, heavy hammer spring(thanks Bob) and an extended bolt.  I did have to de-burr the slot for the hammer and hammer pin.  I couldn't cock the hammer otherwise especially with the heavy hammer spring.  Now I can crank the PA almost till bind and still cock the hammer back.
  With those changes the Disco did hit 30 FPE using the JSB heavies and 24.8 FPE using 14.3 domed.  That where I wanted to be so I'm very happy

I would just leave the fill cap of. Much easer than taking off the LCD. I lost mine( fill cap ) and have had no problems. Just blow out the foster citing before pumping

The fill cap is off  and there isn't enough room.  My LDC still gets in the way of filling so off it comes.  I may switch the gauge and foster fitting locations.

if you got one from TKO , he makes them so you wont have that problem. I purchased one from him , I dont know if he still make them or not, but it worked fine on mine. the end on the barrel was longer and had a small rise on the end, which with a second barrel band, worked just fine. you could show him the pic I'll post and see if he still makes them or not. Geewhiz/Jorge now has that Disco, hopefully he will pop in and say if he likes it or not.
it still rubbed a little, but it didnt have to be removed to fill the gun.

When I got my TKO LDC, had two pumps.  One pump's QD fitting on the hose would fit just fine, the other was fractionally larger in diameter and wouldn't quite fit.  Seems there is no stadardization of the OUTSIDE diameters of the female quick detach fittings.

Have seen elbow fittings that would go between the fil nipple and the end cap...45 and 90 degree versions, either one would make it easy to get the hose hooked up.  the nipple-gauge switch works as well; becasue of the way togauge fits to the end cap, it has a bit of an unfinished look to it...but can cover the gap with a cut off tube section of the plastic end cap (or other bit of black plastic tube).

TKO does still make LDC's, and are quite good for their size and cost.

  I make my own LDC's for myself and I have a TKO one too.  It's the same not enough clearance.  The info about the fittings not being the diameter might be the answer since the add clearance needed is very small for everything to fit.  thanks again for the info.

i took my dremel with a sanding drum and sanded down a small groove for my fill cap to fit with the tko.. if ur not going to use the fill cap please find something that will seal up the peice the pump or tanks attach to.. last thing you want is crud getting into the hole and then being forced into the adapter when you go to fill the rifle

I did put something on the fill nipple as soon as I found out I couldn't use the cap.  I had some silicone caps from my powder coating stuff that fit nice and tight over the nipple so it's always covered.  I used a large one for the inlet of the pump for a cover.  I didn't think that any bit of foreign matter inside was good.  With my modded 2-2240's on CO2. Have to disassemble to clean out the insides every so often.  CO2 is dirty.  Thanks for the concern Mike.
  I did make a groove on the bottom of the LDC to clear so I can hook up the pump now without removing anything.

might want to check ur barrel and barrel bands.. you want the gap between the barrel and airtube to remain the same all the way down to the fill adapter.. ur barrel might be slight pushed down thus causing the issue.. i know with my disco its not a tight fit but i do get some rubbing on the quick connect when i pump it

a peice of my fuel tubing i used to deping my disco got sucked through the gauge port hole. the tubing peice that got sucked through was 7times the size of the hole.. then it go sucked into the valve and tangled up in the spring for the pin the hammer strikes... any gunk that makes its way into the airtube can and will cause bad things to happen

The TKO from Mike won't allow you to fill the rifle without removing it? That's strange. I have a 5 inch TKO from him and it fits perfectly...all I had to do was modify the fill cap. I wonder what the difference is between them?

The TKO fit might be because it wasn't originally for the Disco.  It was ordered for the 22xx Crosman air pistols.  Anyway that's what I think it might be.

Yes the disco that i purchased from Buster is surely a winner and very accuate ,im glad to have done buisness with threex ,the tko works great and my neighboors dont even hear it a bit ,i have a couple of tko,s and they work great,the one on my tuned .22 qb78d is also excellent ....my choice of brakes will be tko if i want peace amongst my neighboors ...easy set up ,i plink at night and still not a peep or curtains moving ...lol..its fits just right however the endcap is something you may want shaved to avoid from filling air ...mike takes care of that also but you have to send him the cap for sizing ....i have nothing neg to say ,its alll good ...yes mike still makes them for the disco but and at a good price ..one thing is you can shoot while your family and neighboors sleep ....jorge

Thanks 1377x,  I have those and they were my first thoughts!  But they have an internal check valve and if you use the foster fitting from the Disco it has one too and causes problems filling.  I did the easy way and machined a shallow slot with a round nose bit for the clearance into the LDC.  Didn't have to de-gas and pump again!

I did remove the check valve off one of the B&A fill adapters for another project that hasn't gotten off the ground yet.  Not hard to do.  I decided that I didn't like the foster sticking out underneath, looked too odd for me.

Update :
  I went with the 1/4" riser block from BNM (Sergio).  I ordered his barrel band kit that has a riser, barrel band, extended transfer port & hammer pin, hardware, and long breech screws.  I also got a second barrel band.  I used the poly tube for the transfer port seal.

Very interesting! I have never seen such a thing for the Disco. Does Sergio have a website with more information (and other Disco parts)??

What kind of accuracy are you getting, preferably at a distance far enough to see how it is doing (like 25 yards or more)? I like the idea of being able to slide the LDC a little closer in to reduce the overall length of the gun. I am worried I am going to knock it against something. Sliding it in would allow me to replace my 6.5" TKO with one of his longe rmodels to get it even more quiet.
