   Just take good care of it, store with 1-2 pumps in it.

    I absolutely agree with what is mentioned with pumping. WHY wear yourself out   Three pumps for setting sights & close target practice,,, 5 for small game,, up to 8 for larger game/longer distance shooting.

I do the full 8 pumps on my Blue Streak once in a blue moon.  5 pumps is the normal max, and 4 thwaps a squirrel into The Big Sleep out to 35 yards.  I use 3 for plinking and chasing cans, though Sonja like the extra smack of 6 pumps when we're shooting at out "target cymbal" about 45 yards away. 

A final note: 1 or 2 pumps before you put it away.

Good input to read. I’ve been using 3 pumps for target practice and plinking out to 50-60-something ft. Longer than that gets 4 pumps. Most I’ve done is 5 pumps on a few occasions, mainly out of curiousity. It gets louder and, presumbly, smacks harder. I doubt I can pump it 8 times.   Max for me will probably be 6.

       Speaking of pumping….I shot the 100).177) and the 101(.22) yesterday stayed at 4 pumps…they did ok out to 30 yards…pumping did not get old…I will say this the 100 seems to be a little tighter than 101 and they have both been rebuilt.pretty good for a couple of guns at least 74 years old…well parts of them….good luck

Initial testing the gun isn’t accurate. I’m going to chrono it and see what’s going on. I also see some paint on the muzzle which I’ll clean. I’ll clean the barrel too well

I just cleaned the muzzle from paint, cleaned the barrel, removed, cleaned and oiled the hammer slightly, lubed all pivots . 4 pumps it’s a consistent 420 fps 3’shots

The Sheridans are a lot of fun. I have one C9a that I seldom shoot, preferring the Racine Model C. Up until last week, had two Silver Streaks and three Blue Streaks. Gave each of my four grandsons a Racine Sheridan. One got a Silver Streak and the other three got Blue Streaks. Had to keep one Silver Streak for myself. First Blue Streak I had years ago was stolen.

In my shop, I use 3 pumps, outside either four or maybe five pumps. Very seldom do I go to eight pumps. At 84 years old, eight pumps is not much fun. However, I must admit that I shoot my PCP or springer more often.
