Had my Gamo Hunter out yesterday shooting a paper target. Not good but the fault was lose stock screws. I don't use lock tite but neoprene washers under the screw heads. That seems to to take up the differences in tension cased by temperature and humidity and keeps them tight. I added washers to the Gamo tightened the screws and after three settling shots all was back on targetMy tightening method is to nip them up tight then tweak a bit more. Care not to crush anything except the neoprene washer. There is a good chance one side is tighter than the other. So questions:_1. Does it matter if the forestock screw tension is not exactly the same each side?2. Is there benefit in using a torque wrench for the screws ?3. How tight should the screws be?4. How tight should the rear screw be in comparison to the rear screw.Inch pounds is ok:_ i can convert it to nms.
