Keystone Air Guns 400 USC frist impressions!

Alright Cometa fans and even if you're not LOL!!!! my 400 USC came today, and I can tell you words do not do this rifle any justice! the Walnut stock is absolutely beautiful! the tuning Jon did is spot on! smooth as glass no spring noise easy to cock for a detuned to 16ftlbs with 15.8gn JSB's, which I'm not going to use! but the I'm going to shoot the 14.3gn Crosman Pointed Hunting pellets, because they shoot out of the other 2 .22cal Comets barrels, and this 1 is no different! I have shot less than 25 pellets thru this gun so far just to site it in, using a 3x12x32mm LEEPERS Bug Buster with a 1-piece BB mount from LEEPERS, and it's already shooting a hole in a hole @15m, I know that's not very far for most of us but if it going to shoot like this from the get-go it will be accurate at much further distances from my experience! my rifle has the up graded trigger, and I will tell you it's nice! I don't know if Jon adjusted it don't know! but it is very good!!! we're talking HW class of good! and I know how to make it better if need be! my rifle is an example of 1!!!! but I have owned these same rifles in the past and they have shot just like this 1!! very good accuracy! I will post more on this rifle as time permits but I will tell you this is money well spent in today's market!!!, Thank you Jon for a very nice rifle

Mark, got my .177 400 USC w/ wood Friday. Took it to our fun shoot Saturday. Shot about 10 rounds thru it then we got rained out. It poured and for a long time. Jon emailed me it shot about 930fps with 8.44 JSB's. I shot 8.3 Meisterkugeln w/c thru it. Got a couple holes touching groups before it rained. I'll get the Simmons 30mm 3-9x40 zeroed next time. Light, handles easy, smooth shot cycle, trigger was 1lbs 3 oz with my Lyman digital gauge. I'm tickled. I noticed the safety button is identical to the one on my old Tell 200, a German brand made in Spain. It's also a holes touching gun with an East German 1 Mark coin enbedded in the left side of the Butt stock.

Very good Tim, I took a few pix today and shot a second target of 5 shots, so far today, here are some pix of some of my other COMETA rifles to compare to the new 400 USC, now I just got home from work and took these pix and shots 5 shots standing supported from a window seal, as you can see 3 of the 5 made it thru the same hole! the 2 fliers are my fault not the guns! keep in mind I have not shot a spring gun with more than 12ftlbs for a good while, this rifle is 16ftlbs per my request for the power tune from Jon, so I need to learn how to shoot this rifle with more power, Very Very happy

What a gorgeous looking stock is that, albeit the total appeal is great too with that action / moderator / short barrel. Love it !

Tim all I have to say is this is a very good value for a spring gun! Jons tune well worth it! this is a very nice rifle! you guys know I'm an HW guy! but I also have a soft spot for my COMETAS! and this is another fine example of what they produce! I'm strongly considering a 300 USC, I now have 5 COMETA air guns! and I'm happy with all of them, but they do need some tuning like all spring guns do!

Yeah Mark, I'm well pleased. I'm thinking about the 300 USC and/or 220 Compact. Also got a Diana 45 and Remington Summit coming from Baker and a Webly Falcon and a Diana 25 off ebay.
