Now might be a good time to buy a few 2240's and 1377's along with an 880 or two. I've got a 3 year old grandson that I want to experience the fun of plinking when he's old enough. Would hate to see a bunch of our old favorites fall to the way side just because some fellow in a suit that's never shot an airgun deemed it so for the bottom line.

This is crazy news, I hold neither Daisy nor Gamo in higher esteem than Crosman. I only hope they keep jobs and production in the US, maybe it will work out, fingers crossed.

My thoughts exactly. Crosman support has always been the absolute best, which is part of the reason that I never hesitate to buy Crosman products.

I hope this does not change.

If GAMO/BSA bought out Daisy then why is it Daisy buying out Crosman rather than GAMO/BSA buying them out?
I also wonder if Benjamin and Sheridan brand names also went with the package.

As a content creator myself, the reason for the way that's worded is that it will attract the attention of even the most casual of reader/viewer. BRS owns Daisy, Gamo, etc so to say Gamo bought Crosman is no different than saying Daisy bought Crosman, as it's actually BRS who owns those brands.

Saying "Daisy Buys Crosman" is not misleading at all, it's just using the most widely recognized name brand under that umbrella to grab attention.

When a reader/viewer see's the names Daisy and Crosman, especially the casuals who aren't immediately familiar with other brands, they will be more likely to stop and read the article or watch the video.

As for the Benjamin brand, Center Point, etc it's all a part of the sale.

  I strongly suspect it will lead to the homogenizing of models, as in the acquisition of Benjamin by Crosman. General Motors is a "good" example, as well. I can well imagine the day when Daisy, Crosman, Benjamin, etc., are just words silk screened on the breech of a generic "General Airguns" product that consists of a corporate breech, barrel, trigger and stock-all made of plastic.

Yeah, I just can't see that.. have you ever seen a gun stamped Crosman/Benjamin, Benjamin/Sheridan, Crosman/Sheridan or even GAMO/Daisy for that matter?
I think they may be moving in the direction that Umarex did, or another one is Air Venturi. I can see them mixing the technology to keep production costs down for low to mid level guns. Many big box retail stores are moving away from airgun sales so that market is drying up.
I can also see them keeping them operating separately yet all under one umbrella.
Anyway you look at it I'm sure whatever they do will be profit minded.
