Gamo scopes issues

Is it just me or are Gamo scopes impossible to sight in? I tried changing the scope and mounts but still having issues. I feel like the barrel is walking to much after ever shot. I put a laser on it and it does not seem repeatable.

It could be the scope has gone bad, an economical replacement that will last is the hammers scope and one piece mount.

Gamo scopes typically last about 50 shots if that. Criminal waste of energy and natural resources, if you think about it.
Gamo rifle scope rail stop holes are prone to elongating, as well, leading to ever-moving scopes.

Can't help myself but join in a Gamo thread. Yes some of the Gamo scopes of old were a bit fragile and they did elongate stop holes. That fault was easly fixed by drilling and tapping a proper sized stop pin in the scope mount problem solved. At present i have two Gamo 4 x 32 scopes that didn't cost much and have endured very well. Still going well. One is on a 16 ft lb rifle. Going so well that I have shot out most of the rabbits round here with it

I have 5 of Gamo package included scopes. Each has held zero through a few hundred shots. But.... After enough shots I changed the scopes to either Barska or Hammers, both are spring rated Adjustable Objective Midot scopes. I have a couple of the 4x32mm Gamos on some 13xx"s
Did you clean your barrel... Have you tried different pellets.. Some barrels may not group a particular pellet well.. try a different pellet type you may get better results. If you can,,., Keep testing pellets till you find the pellet that hits where you want- POA/POI.
Also are you holding artillery when shooting,,, I've had little luck shooting w a loosegoose hold. Of the 30+ break barrels ik heb only 1 will do good w a soft hold. All other breakbarrels I have to plant the stock firmly in my shoulder. But that's just me. 99 out of 100 will tell you to hold artillery,,, I'm the 1 that says don't hold artillery and plant that stock in your shoulder. XD XP
Another thing... If your scope is adjusted too far Up or Right, or goshdarn adjusted too much both Up and Right,, the springs that hold the reticle tube in place will be in a relaxed state and will not hold zero well. I've seen this in a number of scopes, not holding zero well when adjusted too far Up and or Right. I usually shim my scopes with Vinyl electric tape to avoid having to adjust Up.
Goodluck

Just about every manufacturer that makes lower cost rifles, add cheap scopes to make it look like you got a great deal. You can't blame Gamo without blaming all the others. The solution is to get an " airgun rated scope. "

I had to go to the dark side to use all the included scopes from springers.

I did have a Gamo some years ago, that the scope lasted a long time on. The crosshairs started rotating, & I turned it into a " spotter scope " to use for target shooting. You can always remove them before they are damaged & use them on BB guns, or pellet rifles that have little recoil, such as pumpers.

I picked up my one & only Gamo (Rocket = cheap refurb springer) back in 2017. That was the first year I started back into airguns after a ~35 year pause. The Rocket and other cheap springers/scopes/mounts almost killed my interest in air guns.
Way over-sprung, super harsh double-recoil shot cycle, TONS of reverberating TWANG, and large shotgun patterns at 30'. Accuracy issues were partially MY FAULT because I did not fully understand HOW to shoot a springer at that time.
Cheap toy scope included would have been PERFECT on one of my ancient pumpers, but it was NO MATCH for the shock-recoils that light rifle produced. In less than 50 pellets the eye-piece cracked/split at the threads and flew BACK hitting me in the cheek. I was able to get the eye-piece back together and (kind-of) stay attached to the scope threads but it eventually worked loose and flew back into my face again. I took the rifle apart and reduced the spring preload to something like 1/4". That calmed the rifle enough so the eye-piece stayed on the scope. Didn't have a chronograph at the time but I estimate the rifle was shooting around 8-10 fpe max after the de-tune.
THAT broken scope problem along with several OTHER wandering scope/mount issues on other powerful springers taught me that I should NEVER AGAIN buy any springer that doesn't have open sights installed at the factory. The other thing I learned was that CHEAP mounts and CHEAP scopes should NEVER be attached to a powerful (>16fpe) springer PERIOD.
Good Luck! :-)

I have a couple Gamo rifles with the issued 3-9x40. A Magnum Swarm 10X, and a Whisper Fusion Mach I. Both are 22 caliber.
I haven't had any issue with the scopes holding zero, or taking adjustment, but the recoil causes them to self-dial down to 3X in a few shots. Because of that, I just leave them on 3X.
