Nice collection guys. Johnny, that G1 Extreme sure feels lonely sitting outside by itself. Bet the cat feels really protected.
Here's the one I shot today:Winchester 52C 22LR
Guess we see it on a different level but i couldn't imagine not sharing that with the person who will receive it one day. To me history is significant, even if it's not what we would like it to be. The history behind an object adds much to it's relevance, much as my WW2 enfields with the 7 marks cut into the sides and col mcgovern engraved into it lends much more to it's interest and place in history than my enfields that were post war. I do however look forward to shooting it and appreciate the nudge in that direction. I hope it turns out to be a shooter!! J Heres a few more .22s of relevence to me, the top is a 1948 mossburg model 140K, my grandfather bought it used for my dad in about 55'. He carried it trapping and hunting till it was refinished by him in about 65'. He didn't use it much after he got back from the war but i started shooting it when i was about 7 or 8 and he gave it to me in the early 80's. It has been carried a thousand miles and who knows how many shots have been put through it. The lower gun is a mint 1961? .22 Remington 550-I autoloader. It's an old family gun too. Have not shot it much but i should give it a try..
