Testing Various Spring Rates with Hatsan Barrage -- Indexing with Suppressor

I tried quite a few springs of various wire diameter, length and material to see if the occasional indexing issue that occurs when a suppressor is added to a hatsan semiautomatic. In this case my .22 Barrage. Contrary to the assertions made *elsewhere* the spring available at Ace (Amazon) did not work for me. So I went down the rabbit hole of AliExpress and purchased various compression springs. I found that a slightly heavier spring rate worked best for me, 1.4mm wire size, 20mm diameter and 80mm length.

The one niggling detail I encountered was that there are two types of magazines for the Barrage. The silver metal magazine that comes with the Barrage and the black plastic magazine that came with my Flash. The silver magazines fail every time with at least 1 indexing issue per magazine. The black plastic magazines are significantly more consistent and reliable.

So my indexing issues with the Barrage appear to be solved with a combination of magazine type and return spring.
