Need help understanding the Disco overtravel screw

I'm going to fool with my Disco trigger today and have a question about the over-travel screw.
Why use it? There appears to be a problem with sear drag if you screw it in too far, but I'm wondering what I gain by doing anything different than stock?
I'm thinking of just installing the upper screw.

You're right, the over travel screw has little to do with the feel of the sear tripping. But the over travel screw can make for an nicer feeling trigger after the sear trips...but can also lead to sear drag.
Not all of them give that sear drag problem, and when it doesn't, having the trigger feel "dead" after the sear trips feels better to most people.
Could not add it, and wonder if you should have...or add it, and back it out if there is a drag problem.

I found that if you turn in the lower screw until the gun won't fire and then back it out 2 turns it won't interfere with the sear and gives the trigger a nicer feel when fired.... You are correct, however, it isn't needed and if you don't like it, don't bother....
