Looks to me like the factory moderator has to be removed to use the plenum. I'm not so sure I want to take a hacksaw to it, I don't have a lathe, so my removal options would be quite primitive! I'm not really interested in removing the stock pickle, I have the extended insert installed and am very happy with the sound level of that. I like the idea of the bottle with the dual gage drop-block and adjustable regulator, but that essentially doubles the cost of the gun, meaning it's longer a very accurate sub $300 gun, it's now a $600 gun that's really no more accurate than the sub $300 gun I already have! Not sure the ROI is there with that modification!
For the moment I only install moderators on PCP guns that are easily modified for those that may need butchering ,I have a local gunsmith who said he would cut off and recrown the barrel(s)….so far Ive resisted and have had only one neighbor question what I was shooting….and from what I gathered from the vid….u do not have to remove the factory moderator to install plenum ..@ least in this particular vid…but Im not as learned as most of u….so might be mistaken….good luck
Website says 15cc added. From the seller:This is a Umarex Notos plenum kit. The kit consist of 2 shroud end caps and a 15cc plenum. Orings are already installed but spare ones are included. The front end cap adapter has a 1/2x20 unf thread that simply slips over the barrel and is drilled and tapped with a m6 set screw that sits on the groove of the barrel itself. The kit is very easy to install/remove, it will take less then 10mins. With the added 15cc of plenum shot count will increase and also fps. Only modification that needs to be done is to remove the factory plastic shroud.

I did mine that way. I also had a zZ block on mine from Aliexpress for a few days but I went back to the stock set up with plenum
I did not care for the stock moderator, even with the extension, so I killed it.
Well, considering that the stock pickle needs to be hacked on to fit the plenum I might as well install the whole kit. I already have a couple moderators around that will go on it.It seems the weather is going to keep me in the shop most of the day so I'll probably pull it back apart and make another regulator adjustment.Maybe I'll have a long look at removing the pickle. I can run it wide open until I get the kit. Or I can use one of the LDCs I have that attach with grub screws.Tinkering is the name of the game.
This is the bottle / reg setup I first used on my Notos 3000 psi still gives good shot count. Total cost of the 2 $80.oohttps://www.ebay.com/itm/311754223514And drop block.www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BLHFKY4R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Well, I woke up with a killer ear ache and it's raining. I put a couple drops of olive oil in my ear and watched recorded NASCAR waiting for the rain to stop.... it didn't.So, I pulled my hood up over my head so I wouldn't ruin my hair do get wet and sick and dipped out to the shop.I shot the NoDoze down to empty and pulled the tank back off. I pulled the reg out and gave it another 1/8 turn clockwise.I still have the stock hammer spring in and there is a good 1/4" preload on it to put the screw in.I think any further adjustments I make will be hammer spring only. If I need more I'll give it more. If I need less I'll install a lighter spring or clip a coil or so.My goal here is 3 full mags before dropping off the reg without adding the plenum. My FPS goal is anything between 600 and 650. If and when I add the plenum I would hope to add another mag. That should be enough speed to respectably launch 14.3 gr lead within my intended range.Testing is postponed until the rain stops, maybe this afternoon. I don't want to open up the shop to let all that dampness in.
