NOTOS arrived

Here is a picture of the second trigger adjustment screw. You have to pull the trigger frame to get to it. It's the top screw in the picture below. Backing it out shortens the first stage feel of the trigger.

Anxious to see if you end up adding a bottle and how you feel like that changes the handling of the gun.  I've thought several times about doing the bottle conversion on mine, but I haven't taken the leap yet.

This gun has the sideways dove tail grooves front and rear on the rail. I have a few Ruger 1022 flip up peeps but I think the comb is too high to use them. I have a nice TruGlo red dot that will hot swap with the scope or I can use an offset mount like you did.

AR sights, folding like MBUS or fixed like LMT, work well with the comb height of the NOTOS. I ended up going with a set of Magpul MBUS, seems to be a good match. Just a heads-up. Also this combination ends up with sight line over bore right at 2.5" best I can measure. And I agree, factory magazine is lacking. Same first round scraping issue.

Yeah, not much change but I think I'll run a string over the chrono with the CPUM 14.3 today. That is what I used for the base line string. The heads up comparison will tell the story better than the JTS 18.1 did.
James, tell me about that bleed screw, I turned it out a full turn and no air came out. I didn't go any more because I didn't know if I would shoot it across the shop... or worse.  I don't like shooting the gun down to empty.

Bill, The Notos doesn't have a bleed screw, the screw on the bottom in front of the trigger is a mounting screw for the cylinder block, you have to shoot it out of air.

Oh and Congrats on the Notos purchase....

Mine likes CPHP, Domes and JSB Hades.

Ok... I thought I saw in that video where the guy compared the 3 drop blocks that he said that was a bleed screw. It's the silver flat head screw. I may be mistaken.
Here is the screw I am referring to and the part name in the list. It's part #66 which is listed as "exhaust screw".

mine doesn't have a silver flat head screw except for the Hammer spring adjustment screw.

if you do the bottle conversion, which drop block are you liking the best, I like that new regulated drop block on Ali express, I ordered one the other day just to play with, the original one I used from Amazon works great too, but you have to get a separate bottle mount regulator, 2200 psi is what I have, it gives me 780 fps with Hades pellets,
you still have to clock either one to the gun cylinder block.

I like the one that Wes at AGAF sells. It also has the dual gauges. But funds are low so I may just go for the plenum upgrade. I'm still looking at my options.
Lots of guys seem to be into making power but I'm more after shot count and accuracy. I'm getting 3 mags of 18.1 domes in the high 600 fps. The last couple shots were off the reg. I had adjusted the reg in about 3/16 turn.
I think I can add the plenum, drop the reg some more and squeeze out another mag in the low 600's. That's still going to give me 14 to 15 FPE.
28 - 30 14FPE shots would be acceptable for me.

I think I prefer the black over the silver.

I also saw a video where the guy drilled and tapped for a regulator gauge. I'm not sure if I would go that route. It would be handy in setting the reg but once set the gauge might just be another potential leak so what's the point?
Set it and forget it.

I bought the moderator kit….didnt see the need for plenum for my type of shooting….vendor C88….excellent machining ….I got silver as black wasnt available at that time….good luck

I'm kinda the opposite.. I don't have an issue with the factory moderator. I can get just the plenum alone for around $30 but for another $30 or so I can get the whole kit. Never know, I may cut that moderator off in the future.

I figure if I'm going to go tactical I might as well go all in... Buck Rail has some tactical upgrades.

Agreed…myself included….there is a utube vid where a gentlemen installs the full kit plenum and all….he uses a lathe to take the factory off,un damaged and reuses it….good luck

Yeah, I watched that one too. I just don't have a lathe. I'd have to go at it the old caveman way. Pretty sure there wouldn't be much to save when I was done.
