The M-Lok screws came so I mounted the 3" section of picca rails to the fore grip. Then I mounted the ring mount that allows me to swap for laser or flashlight. I put the green laseer on and ran the thumb switch to the thumc side of the pistol grip. I adjusted the laser to zero at 35 yds. Point and click from the hip can killing at 35 yards.

what kind of lasers work well on air rifles like this? i have always been worried about them holding zero but would love more info if it is working out for you guys. Thanks

I'll get some pics of mine up today. I have a few lasers around that are just your basic ChiCom stuff. They can be swapped from pressure switch to click on and off.

Wow... I haven't fought with a gun like that in a very long time....
The one thing I was missing on the NoDoze that I really wanted was a side focus scope. With the new North Range setup, we have lots of targets at varying distances.
Commence the whining....
With my old eyes I absolutely need adjustable AO. But, with my poorly installed total reverse shoulder replacement (no rotator cuff) it's a series of contorting to reach and adjust it while looking through the glass.
So this morning I went on a hunt among my scoped guns to find one suitable without seriously down grading the donor gun.
Sounds simple enough as I had 3 candidates.... not so much.
I needed high piccatinny rings to clear the Maple high capacity mags. I also needed to clear the wheel with the mag or remove it.
2 scopes had 30mm tubes... the one with high rings were for a dovetail. The one with piccatinny rings were medium and would not clear the mags.
I settled on the 3rd one. A Discovery with a small wheel and 20mm tube. Perfect ! The Fortitude won't miss it... for now.
Then the problems started...
For some odd reason I couldn't get those tall rings to center windage. I either ran out of adjustment right or I ran out left due to the rear ring having to sit back past the last notch on the rail for the mag to clear the wheel and get good eye relief. I dinked with this thing for an hour before I got it centered and secured.
But I did indeed get it. What a pita. !

Im a big fan of the CP AO for $100 from PA…some guns (maybe this one ) they are a little overwhelming i guess…good luck

I'll have to post a pic of mine. It sits quite a bit lower. The mags just barely fit under the tube in front of the turret housing.
I must admit, I got pretty lucky how close it fits. I like to keep the center of the scope as close to the center of the bore as possible.

I see you also got the Buck Rail M-Lok fore stock. I like it alot. It feels much better in the hand than just the tube did.

Charging up one of the tablets for some overdue pics today.

If I had the money all my scopes would be side focus. Once you figure hold over and under all you have to do is adjust the objective focus. My nearest targets are 25yds and my farthest are 45yds. I zero on the 35yd targets. About a mil over and a mil under gets the job done depending on pellet weight in use.

I got the NoDoze out this morning. I have the GX CS3 compressor on a table just inside the window from the Red Shed to the North Range Shootin' Shack. I got the a/c cranked in the Red Shed so I'm filling with dry air. After 2 3625 fills and 4 mags I checked the filter in the inline filter and it was bone dry.
I'm shooting the JTS 18.1 Dead Center domes and they are Dead Nut accurate out to my 45yd targets. The Discovery side focus scope is a perfect match with medium rings. The smaller side wheel allows just the right amount of clearance for the 15 shot Maple mags. 2 full mags takes me right to the regulator drop off and depending on how fast I cycle the mag I get 700 - 720 fps. If I take my time I can lower that spread.
I also began a page in my log book to track the shooting experiences and results.
I have no plans to do anything else to this gun... well, maybe not... I'm still waiting for the trigger to smooth out a bit more. If not I may go back in for some more touching up.
I just went back and read this entire thread. It was nice to revisit the experience/progression. Thanks to all those who contributed and hopefully others can reference with it.

I've seen a few posts on the JTS 18.1s....hmm... I just shot ragged hole at 24yards at the LGR with JSBs and CPHPs and MOS with everything else. Curious how your Notos does with your 217RF20s? I'm MOS at 24yards and ragged hole at 15yards with my "hand sorted" 217RF20s....I'm also hovering over a cart with the Maple mags for the pp800r project. Many thanks for your posts.

Pretty sure I tried them and posted results in my casting thread. I don't really remember how they did. If this weather continues to move out today and don't leave a big mess to clean up I'll see if I can send some downrange.

Got to the shooting deck with the NoDoze after a minor clean up and a store run.
As I said, the JTS 18.1 stack pellets and I zeroed it at 30yds. last time out.
Next I tried the CPUM and CPHP and both stacked at 2 mil left.
Finally I tried the 217 hunters and magnums at 19.3 and 22.40 respectively. Both opened to 1" groups.
I'm sure I could do better with the heavier pellets by increasing power and sacrificing shot count.
I have 4 tins of JTS and 10 tins of CPHP/CPUM on hand and I'm not willing to change my tune until those are gone.

BTW, just for the record...
I had some Crosman 19.1 heavies on hand... same results as the hunters and magnums. My current tune just does not like the heavy stuff.
I keep hoping that NOE would make a mold/s between 15 and 18 gr. in .22.
