I have the same gun it never reach 32-34FPE what Gamo claims my gun put out 20.5FPE at 52ft elevation 65F. Don't get me wrong the gun shoot very well and accurate with the Gamo Mag pellets 21.75g and trigger is not so bad consider I felt worst. When I see these airgun reviewers they get these crazy FPE out of magnum springer/gas ram or maybe I got a dud. Gamo claims Energy: 33.19 ft/lbs – 45 J Very misleading.

As a note, this was just the unboxing video, not at all a review, so please don't take this video as anything other than an intro to the product.  I was getting 24ish FPE in this video here:



I'm at 4600 feet, which impacts performance a decent bit versus sea level.  I have both the .22 and the .25.  Which do you have?  If you have the .22, then you want to shoot "lighter" pellets to get more energy.  I know that's counterintuitive, but it's the way it goes with these guns.  Maybe I should demo that in a video.  The basic reason is that more drag = less velocity.  Less velocity = less energy.  So when you go with heavier pellets with more bore engagement, the gun has more drag to overcome.  Because this is a break barrel, it only has so much volume and pressure it can create.  It's why you will often get MORE energy with the lead-free ammo than the lead ammo. Crazy I know, but Gamo tests there guns with their PBA ammo.  That's where they get the FPS and extrapolated FPE numbers from.  I still think they embellish and only post the "best case" scenario, but that could be a reason that you are not getting close to the stated power/velocity output.
