Diana Airbug--Currrent Chinese made version quality?

Recently was able to shoot a German made Diana Airbug .177. I was very, very impressed with the accuracy, the trigger was amazing, and the overall quality appeared to be excellent. I'm seriously thinking about purchasing one of these, but read that current production is Chinese. Does anyone have one of the Chinese versions, and care to comment good or bad, on the quality, or lack thereof, on current production Airbugs.

My Airbug is pellet picky, but I was able to get one ragged hole from Metz 7grn and the single shot tray off a bipod.

I'm getting 50 good shots per cart.

With the added Buck Rail moderator, it is one of the quietest airguns I own.

Well that is a fine howdy do ...  The Airbug's owner indicated to me this was an "older" one made in Germany. I guess I didn't inspect it that closely, and failed to notice any reference on the pistol to Chinese manufacture. I guess I need to be a bit more observant! So, ALL versions made in China. That's a bit of a surprise. I'm still looking for thoughts on the quality (or the lack of) of the current manufactured models. I'm thinking of picking up one of the .22 cal versions. Grab one or stay away from it?

 Go for it here is mine but I tinkered with it a bit,, and a video of one in pistol form with shoulder stock at 50 yards. Both running on HPA as we are cold here

Chinese guns have shown to have improved in quality to the point of rivalling the originals they copy. The Airbug (and all the german sportline) are very decent quality airguns, or at least airguns that can be made to excel very easily. I would definitely go for one.

I'm thinking I will! All outlets I checked were currently out of stock/overdue on the .22cal versions, Midway is showing a price of $129 (out of stock of course) which seems to be a bargain for this pistol. Midway site is saying backorders are OK, so I'll probably just order one. The "Bandit" PCP version is really clouding my judgement though. Only about $50 more....AND it has a threaded muzzle/moderator already on board.  Hmmnnn....  Well, I don't have any PCP "stuff" on hand like a bottle/compressor for filling the Bandit, so the CO2 powered .22 cal Airbug gets the nod for now...  But the Bandit version is calling out to me, I must resist the urge

Two things. You could find a cheap benji pcp pump or a chinese pump for almost peanuts, today, which makes the prospect of owning a pcp a lot easier. And the fact that the Diana guns are low capacity they are perfect for pump duty. and the second one... TSC (tractor supply) sells diana guns online. They are generally very available and i would definitely look in there.

 The PCP version will be much more accurate over the full range of temperatures you may encounter. I have had these valve lock in 80 degrees temps or if exposed to bright hot sun when in use, loss of power when temps get below 50 degrees.
