Just some general information on Crosman Premier .22 pellets. I can not hold a tight group with the CPHP but pretty tight groups with the Domes at twenty yards. Not sure if it differs in different production batches but the Domes are shooting a lot better than the hollow points. JFYI

Kailua: Same here in most of my .22's, I think the hollow point feature may be the culprit here? The round domes do just fine.

take some wax and pack it down into the hollow point and test it out.. the wax wont come out the hollow point when its shot..

I think in the .22 many guns shoot the domes much better. It also depends alot on the gun. Some do and some don't shoot any crosman's well. That can go with even being the same make of gun. All in the barrel and the shooter.

i use cphp's for break in on break barrel guns, by the time you shoot a 500ct tin its broken enough to test accuracy with higher end pellets.. that being said i also use them for plinking in my garage with the disco.. at ranges inside 10yrds they are just as good accuracy wise as a jsb but cost a lot less

I know allot of people think just because they are, lets say inexpensive, that they are not any good. Most of my guns will shoot them quite well. The Crosman brand is available most anywhere. I shot the Benjamin discoveries which are the same pellet. Sometimes you just have to work harder to shoot either one. Don't get me wrong, some of my guns have their own appetite for other pellets and different weights that they digest much better.

Benjamin hollow points I've noticed have far better consistancy from pellet to pellet then the cphp

For me it is the opposite.
The hollow points are very accurate out of my 34 and the domed pellets are not so good.
There is a difference in head size, mine likes the larger head size (cphp) while the domed just drop in.

Both the CPHP and domes drop in for me. Must be the batch from the factory are not consistent. I have read even the higher priced CPHP in the box are suffering in their quality. Even the .22 H@N FTT have like some molding rubbish hanging on the skirt and these pellets don't drop in. I had to make a tool to push them into the breech end to make them shoot well.

The only ones I have found tobe loose are RWS domed. The RWS guns have a cocked seating. Not all the seating areas are cut the same bevel angle or depth for seating from gun to gun even the same make and model. At least on mine.
