I dont think its really for deping, its more for efficiency. From what I understand, it prevents the hammer from hitting the valve a second time when the hammers released causing the valve to open slightly again, wasting air.

Yep Jorge just as JKS85 said, it is "supposed" to give you an increase or rather saving's on air useage from stopping the rebounding of the hammer.

 Right on Jay. The HDD (Hammer Debounce Device) helps conserve the air in your reservior by helping to keep the hammer from bouncing more than necessary after you pull the trigger and letting more than the necessary amount of air out.

would be a sinch to put on ?and where is it place at ? ,is that i see a good deal from a great airgunner ....i have two but im loving discos especailly after purchasing Genes ....im sooooooo addicted to discos that i have learned to really keep my hunts under 50yd and not even and what better ag then to do it with a disco .......the sale consist of a hdd ,power adjuster ,katana stock ,marauder trigger ,no scope but im getting one from my wife for christmas so i could take my condors and plce the new one on that one ....thx for reading ...jorge ...p.s Gene shes a beast thx!!!!!!!!!

very nice, makes me want to check out the hdd for the disco i saw for sale... since i hand pump getting a few extra shots with the same velocity is deff an interest of mine.. esp if it can give em 4 more shots with the heavy hammer spring installed since that needs to be pumped up another 400psi

The ones made by Steve sold on AOA for the Discovery are a little more delicate I hear (completely different design) and can break in certain instances. For the Marauder they are a square steel block that acts as a breaking clutch on the hammer.

This new design will most likely outlive the shooter it's installed in vice the disposable one sold at AOA.

I'm not impressed.... Here is my shot string with a STOCK Disco and 18.1 gr. JSB Heavies....

25 shots within 4% (avg. 754 fps - 22.8 FPE), 29 shots within 10% of the maximum.... The string with the HDD had 21 shots within 4% (avg. ~775 fps -24.1 FPE), 25 shots within 10%.... My string of 25 had a total energy of 570 FPE.... The HDD string of 21 had a total energy of 506 FPE....

I'm not saying that HDDs never work.... but so far I'm unconvinced that they are necessary on a properly tuned PCP.... A stock Disco is a properly tuned PCP....

good info there bob, and id have to side with you at a stock disco is great right out of the box except for the trigger lol... i still havent even install my heavier hammer spring since the disco in stock trim has more then enough power

A lighter trigger spring and the 2-screw mod REALLY improves it.... It's not an MRod trigger, but better than 95% of the rifles out there....

oh ya lighter trigger spring and 2 screw mod should be done right out of the box.  but even after the price of a disco with pump, mrod trigger, challenger trigger guard and a tko its still much cheaper then a mrod and pump
