Gamo CFX purchased of Gamo site

My Gamo CFX that i got for $139 finally arrived after about 10 days, i opted to pick it up at a fedex facility instead of letting a 3 foot box sit on my porch while working. When i got home i took it out its box, which was a generic gamo box, no CFX labeling or anything. Inside besides the rifle is, some papers, an allen key, and a cute 4x32 scope that probably would be better at home under a car tire.

I only shot it a few times but its interesting. The breech block loading is strange to me, and takes some getting used to. If i can figure out how to post pictures then ill probably post pics of any groups i get.

Well done with the CFX . I have three of them. I have used my amateur airgun mechanic skills on all of them. They are all slightly different and very good rifles i think you will get used to the rolling breach and find it very good to use. I like it better than the sliding breach type.
I am a Gamo fan and only slightly biased.

How do you like it so far, how’s it sound during the firing cycle?   I just ordered one as I’ve wanted an accu for years.  It’ll be my first Gamo true “springer” in around 20 years.

So far i find it to be a very interesting underlever. It took me a few days to get it to shoot anything resembling a group, shot various pellets through it until i finally found out that it likes these FX 18 grain pellets. I managed a 1/4 inch group with all shots touching which was nice. Its rough to shoot for sure, the platic trigger def not worthy and is part of the problem. The firing cycle is harsh and reminds me of the big cat i once owned. Really twangy and torquey.

i feel goofy for even asking but how exactly do i post pics on here again? Tried to use the attachment option but the images are too big. I remember i would use photobucket but that option isnt available anymore.

I would only purchase a CFX for accuracy so. GRT trigger would be ordered at the same time.

You'll have to resize the image. There are several easy online resizers. I recommend sizing based on file size not image size as it simplifies the process.

I was worried it was going to be like a Gamo varmint in terms of twanginess and the low end standard trigger.   I was hoping it might be a step up,  I guess I’ll have to do a bit of work on it.   I’m not in the contiguous either,  it’s not like I get free shipping and easy no nonsense returns.   Thanks again
