Beeman 2027 Won't Cock

I found another thread on the non cocking issue, however it hadn't been replied to in a while and it was suggested I start a new thread.

Picked up my 2027 a month ago, and it shot fine about 100 times, then I noticed it getting harder to pull the bolt back, after a magazine or two like that it began to have problems cocking, the bolt was getting to feel pretty rough, and it wouldn't cock consistently.  The trigger adjustment screw was loose and I turned it all the way in with no improvement, then removed it completely, still wouldn't cock.  Next I put a longer screw in.  It still wouldn't cock.  Next I took the screw all the way out, still won't cock.  While holding it upside down I can get it to cock, finally, but not consistently.  The bolt feels very "rough" when cocking and when pulling it back it hits a "wall" and won't cock, unless I hold it upside down.  I'll contact Midway about returning it, failing that I'll reach out to Beeman.

I hope you have better luck than I did contacting Beeman. They have arguably the worst customer service in the industry!
Hopefully Midway will Take care of you.
Have you adjusted the Hammer spring? If it's to tight the gun won't cock. Back it out flush with the stock and see if it will cock.

I called Midway first, they wanted me to contact Beeman, and then call them back if I wasn't happy with the resolution from Beeman.  Beeman wanted me to send my 2027 back to them and they'd fix it, stating they thought it might be a pellet fragment causing an issue.  That was going to send the price of my fun little gun upwards by about $100 for shipping.  Looking at other threads, and searching for a parts diagram, I bit the bullet, or rather the pellet, got my tools out and had my first encounter diving into the inner workings of an air gun.  I had the gun down to the point I was taking the trigger assembly out and a smashed pellet fell out of the tube the hammer is located in.  An hour later and my monster is back together and I've run 20 pellets through it without an issue.  Of course now the Sun is setting and the temp is falling into the 30s quickly.  Ha!

Yesterday I couldn't spell air gun technician, now I are one.  Hahaha.

I'm with you Don it doesn't make sense to spend $100 shipping for a $150 pistol. I would think they'd have a service center in the US to do warranty work. I'd done the same thing, tear into it as I had nothing to loose so to speak. Glad to hear that you got it figured out and it was only a pellet and nothing broken.
