Casual Match #2 of 2023/2024

Hear ye... Hear ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #2 of 2023/2024 is open for business!!!

 The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.

Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice.  If you are  limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.

The match #2 will run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 12/17/23.

Sad news today.

The 11mm rail on my Umarex APX rifle has cracked all along the base for about 3".
It's unscopable at the moment.
This is about the 4th time it has happened. I'm gluing it again now, but it's just not strong enough
To reliably withstand a 11mm to picatinny adapter that my scopes need.

So, I might not be able to participate in the #2 10m Casual match until that Daisy 853 arrives.
Tommy said it might ship on Tuesday the 12th so, it might not make it on time.

I ordered some 1" dovetail mount rings for the scope which might come in today so eventually
I'll get all my stuff together and be able to compete.

The good news is that the Daisy 853 I ordered from the CMP is shipping probably on Tuesday, according to Tommy, and then I can set it up
and start using that rifle.

I was going to do a pumper entry, but the LDC cam loose on the Webley Rebel .177 on the last 2 rows, and sorta trashed the score LOL, oh and the jumper I was going to try has a loose pivot bolt

I thought this being a youth model I might have to use a cheek pad and the sporter seemed to be simpler to do it with.
This rifle wasn't made for today's skyscraper scopes.

Nice shooting fellas. Fingers crossed I get to shoot some this weekend. If we don’t get too much rain tomorrow the tree guys will finish up and get this man lift out of my yard so I can LOL.
