Hello guy's and gal's I have been looking at the Crosman Custom Shop, and have built a Carbine that I like alot but have have a few question's.... Here are the specs- Barrel--14.6 .22 Front sight--Silver Muzzle Scope--Already have one that will work so nothing there Trigger--Silver (not a big deal) Stock--Just a normal shoulder stock.. Will this setup be good enough to kill squirrels and a few birds?? But I don't know if a .22 at 600 FPS will be enough nock down power?

should be good, You can get an aftermarket vlave that will increase velocity, at the cost of shot count later on if you feel you need it. While that gun should take down squirrels, with good shot placement, you are not going to be hitting that 600 FPS numbers with out a new valve.

A melon power adjuster will get you a few more FPS. Id think head shots at 20 yards should be no problem for it.

Alright guys Thanks!!! Does anyone have one of these? Is it comfortable? I'm 6'1 so i prefer a longer gun...What's a "Melon Power Adjuster"?

there are several companies that sell power adjusters. Also you can just buy the gun at wal mart, and order all the parts you want or need. Instead of waiting for Crosman to finish your gun, you can do it yourself (not hard, I just did t last night), or have a custom airgun guy do it for you. you will have your guna bit fater that way, though it may cost a bit more.

It will be just fine for tree rat kills at 20 yards or so if you need more power you can install a Boss valve.

I love mine. I have taken squirrels out to 30 yards on a very warm day. My son took a bunny with a head shot at about 25 yards in 65 or 70 degree weather. Mine is a basic .22 with the 14.6" barrel, shoulder stock and no modifications (well I did polish the trigger components and touch up the crown but that is it). It is a great little gun. It loves H$N FTT 5.54 head size. Do a little searching I think the pull length is around 13.75" if I remember which is a little longer than my Titan. The gun is very compact. If you are not going to put a tko on it the 18" barrel will give you a few extra FPS and it will still be a short gun. OAL is around 32" if I remember correctly.

Again I love my 2400KT, almost as much as my 7 year old son does. It is very versatile and can be massively modified. The only downside is that on CO2 it is temperature sensitive.

Here is my 30 yard nutter in 90+ ( I believe it was close to 100 that day) weather.

Thanks guys! @dpricenator I don't think I could do it by myself without a helping hand but my grandpa is real big into real guns he blues his own builds them from the ground up and i want to follow in his footsteps I'm good at shooting and sighting in and stuff but taking apart and putting back together ehh not so much.... How much faster would a gun go with a power adjuster??

I live in FL and possibly moving to S FL and it's usally above 65* F everyday....

unless you are missing a hand or several fingers, and I hope you are not, becaue then I look like a real ^&*, you can do everything I did last night, with no issues. I replaced the barrel, valve, breech, bolt, trigger spring, and addd a trigger shoe. Took me a couple hours, but I had dinner in the middle, and put 3 kids to bed as weel. And I was drinking. So Yeah I think you can handle this no problem, and if you run into issues...we are here to help.

As dpricenator said nodding this platform is very easy. Many of the mods are bolt on (just remove a few screws and replace 1 part with another). I would highly suggest purchasing a custom shop gun over a base pistol and the extras seperately. With the custom shop you start off with a steel breach, which is a necessity for scoping it, and a slightly better trigger set up. The custom shop built how you want it is less expensive run building up a stock pistol anyway. You can always add valves and other goodies to your custom shop to make it more powerful, or quieter etc. after you get it and figure hot what you need.
I get about 30 powerful shots per cart. My gun is 30.5" long, lenght of pull is 16" from trigger to gun butt.

This is probably my last question for this carbine is it comfortable?? Ahhh one more question is a 14.6 barrel long enough?

It is comfortable. The cheek weld is a bit low, but there are cheap clamp on cheek pieces or you could add a piece of pipe foam Luke I did in the pic. That made it much more comfy for me. The 14.6 makes it a nice short carbine. The 18" will give you a few more fps. If I had it to do over, I would stick with the 14.6". It's nice and compact with that barrel.

The CS 2400KT is just a Cr2250 ( no longer available) with a choice of options. an all around good carbine capable of taking squirrel at 20-25 yards. when I purchased mine,
( about 100 bucks shipped, bone stock) only I went with a 18" 22 cal barrel as I have a Cr2250 with a 14" barrel. a little extra barrel will give ya a little more fps.
No front sight, but you'll still get the plastic slip on if you dint choose any. It does come with a steel breech , which is a upgrade from the Cr22xx guns, with 11mm/3/8" rails to mount a scope. I planned to use a scope with mine , so no need for the extra $$$ for a front sight.
There are many options when ordering from crosman, but there are also many after market products as well.
Order a TKO, helps with the bark for back yard shooting.
as said here, the temp effects the gun , but any C02 gun is affected as well.
The stock doesn't fit every one, me included, so I cut mine down to fit me. my 2250 I added a XE stock, which was purchased used , but a perfect fit for me.

order one and enjoy it, mod it.to your liking.
