7.6 Foot Pounds of Fury

This one is for you Ron. HW30 at 30, 50, 60, and 75 yards. JSB 7.87’s @ 660fps. Wasn’t expecting anything spectacular with a 13mph headwind but was surprised with the 30 yard groups. Went 10 for 10 at 50 and 60 on the 3 1/2” spinners, and 8 for 10 on the 4” plate at 75.

Amazing work with that wind. Now and then I'll use the HW30 for 50 yard work, but only on calm days, now. I know very well what wind does with the HW30 way out there, so, again, amazing work.

Your excellent shooting continues ....... more proof your previous post using the HW97K was not cherry picked .

More than anything ........... however, is the sight of your beautiful shooting range -> which really makes me envious .

It's hard to impress when your shooting at 13 yards .........

Appreciate the comment Joanie. My 30 yard set up is right by some tall grass so I could kind of keep the groups together based off the movement. The 50,60,75 are wide open so basically a Hail Mary.

Believe me Kirk, I’m grateful for what I have now. I was lucky to stretch it out to 10 yards for a long time and had a few years where I couldn’t shoot at all living in Queens.

Nice shooting Sean! I have the same issues with the HW30/R7 guns, too small for me! I bought another Cometa 220c with moderator in .22cal a few days ago they're about the size of an HW35 and weigh about the same as a 30 with the power of the HW50, anyway that's good shooting for the wind conditions if not for the wind I think your longer range targets would have been a hole lot better,

At times I will use some caution tape tied off to stakes. That only helps if the wind is actually consistent. I’ve had 4 indicators at 25, 50 75, and 100 and each one was blowing a different direction lol. Like legit at me, away from me, right and left. I’m definitely not skilled enough to attempt to judge that. My property, or range is not ideal. My clearing is 102 yards long by about 30 yards wide. Both sides and back drop off pretty good into the tree line, so basically I’m on a plateau. Depending on the wind and how it comes through the trees it switches fast and from different directions.

I'm kinda' fond of my three HW30S' too.  They serve my 30 yard backyard range very well.
