Crosman 38t

A friend of mine has a 38t that the CO2 leaks out of. I'm trying to get it to hold CO2 but the Oring that the punched end of the cart seals against is all dried out. Where can I get a replacement?

  Try JG Airgun  they have most parts for that gun.

Do you have any idea which part it is? I've been going over the schematic trying to figure out which one it is and can't figure it out.🤔

I've got the same problem in my Crosman 357.   I'm pretty sure the part is  CRS38-128  end seal.   I tried fixing mine using O rings from a harbor freight kit, no luck.   I tried making my own seal with some EPDM sheet material and teflon, no luck.     I'll probably fiddle around with other random materials one of these days.  Mine is a pretty cheap gun and I'm not sure if it's worth fixing as it also needs $5.00 latch support.   I'll probably try to make one of those also.

Ernie is correct the crs38-128 end seal is used on that and several other Crosman guns. They recomend replacing the piercing pin too on older guns but I don't know if that is necessary.

That $28.00 Crosman  seal kit is not likely to be bought by me.   Not sure if my used Crosman .357 is worth as much as the seal kit costs.    On more than one occasion I've put too much money into repairing things that I should have abandoned.

What I hate about most of these sources is they won't just drop a $5 little seal in an envelope and mail it. It costs $8-$10 min shipping on most of them.

LOL... maybe because they don't consider the gun is worth it either. Besides, they are in the business to sell new guns, not make older ones last longer.
In some cases, I value tinkering and fixing as much as shooting. Sometimes the journey is better than the destination. Still much cheaper than my bar tab used to be... even after one night out.

One of the problems with JG is the $15 minimum purchase. I'm fixing the pistol for free parts included so I'm trying to do it as cheap as possible. I've only ever had 1 CO2 gun and I sent it back after just a few days. I'm probably going to go with the parts from fleabay.

Yep! It still leaks after I tightened the copper line. Guess I'll need to search fleabag for a complete rebuild kit. 1 good thing, I've gotten real good at taking it apart and putting it back together.

I've done a T-38 & 357 rebuild - there's a great series on how to on the Pyramid site.  Check those out prior to disassembly and as often as needed after that.

Get a full kit and do the whole gun.  Worth doing in the end just be very careful with the copper line from the grip to the valve body on the 38.  I have one in 22 done and another in 177 that needs doing.  IIRC the 357 was just the seal at the co cartridge seal.

I've already read the article in bb pelter site. It not that hard but didn't want to spend as much as I did to fix it as it's for my neighbor and I'm not charging anything.

Thankfully my post office has parcel lockers and I generally do get packages on Saturday, but this is a small town post office and they do things a little differently.
It just depends if they're in a good mood and feel like bending the rules a bit, sometimes if you got a slip when the parcel lockers were all used you can knock when you hear somebody back there and they'll get your package for you.
