Don't forget, Crosman made, and still makes alot of great bb guns. Actually, there are alot of great bb options that would do well in that range. You might also consider C02.
Since I am currently limited to 26 yards back yard shooting I have started buying different Daisy bb rifles. I had no idea there were so many. So, which ones are the ones to buy? I have a RR, model 25, a 499, a model 35 and a 840 to be delivered today. Which ones are more likely to hold up over time?
https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=210637.0I know the 840 has issues, but didn't know that before I bought it, didn't pay much for it. There is a replacement for the part that fails, but I doubt that I would be interested in trying to replace it. see the link I posted if it works and thanks for the input.

If you are wanting to do pesting then the 880 or 1977 would do better out to the range you provided.
Congrats on starting your Daisy collection…..I got a few…
I cant stop recommending the umarex brodax, which you can get at TSC for 40 bones. best, most accurate out of the box BB shooter. I have bought three, and all of them left with friends who have come over for BBq and such and then ended up shooting cans and other things. The 2100 may not be a good choice as it is rifled... but the 760 make decent shooters WHEN you find the right ammo. the 35 is also amazing, but i generally end up putting a 880 rifled straw and being amazed by how accurate it can be with pellets. Heck, is generally also accurate with the smoothbore and pellets.Red ryders. period. I love them. and also bucks. With RR stocks. trigger mods and powermods.
Model 25 has been an enduring design. The 499 is a target gun and has also been arounf for years...I am a big fan of the older 880's, but the new ones shoot just fine and are easily rebuilt if ever needed. The 840 is a greatlittle gun...........until it isn't.It has a plastic valve body thet cancrack, and id not reparable or replaceable. Some folks continue to get good service from their 840 after years of use.I have never held a mod 35, but it appears to be a smooth bore version of the mod 901, a solid feeling gun that I really like.So....................
