Question about Red Ryder

Hi everyone!
I'm looking into buying a Red Ryder and have it shipped over here, because sadly I've not managed to found any in person. I have a couple of questions though, I've researched but can't find what I want to know right now.
Does the adult Red Ryder have a metal lever? According to a question on a publication on Amazon I've seen, it does have a metal lever, but at the same time it says that the build material is plastic in the summary table. Is there any way to tell beforehand? Shipping stuff over here is more expensive than the Red Ryder itself, so I want to ideally get it right the first time
Also, there are a couple of different Red Ryders, in particular one called the 1938B (I know there are more variants but these are the ones on the Daisy website). What's the difference between this and the regular one? Reading online, I could find something about some 7 click ratchet system to prevent hurting your fingers?
If anyone could help me out a bit I'd be very grateful.
Thanks!!

My adult version has a metal lever. The only visible plastic is the trigger, safety mechanism, loading gate and front sight.

Ive owned both and the adult rr is the way to go.
I found the metal lever uncomfortable and ordered a oval loop one that's plastic.

the one available now is the 1938B (B means with safety). I dont think it has a metal lever, but those are available online aftermarket. Also get the powerkit from cobalt327... it will amaze you.
